Little cookie co icing recipe

Not crazy about the sugar icing. Is there anyway I can make a thinner layer?

Thank you for all your tutorials!! So beautiful. I've made a few of your designs, my issue is I can't seem to hide my outline with the flood like you can so the border always look a little wonky, do you have any tips or does it just take a lot of practice?

Do you make your own mini decorating bags or buy them that small?

I just cut down my big ones, I usually always buy 12 inch bags because I like to tie my bags shut, and then I cut off the excess so it doesn't block the view of the camera! But I find they're the same things, and the small detail bags feel too small to hold in my hand!

If I do a shortbread cookie, can they be decorated with a royal icing like this instead of sugar cookie?

You definitely could. The only thing I would worry about if they are softer cookies and may break easily. If they're not super soft then you should be fine! They get moved around a lot when being decorated, so you wouldn't want them to break

Thank you!! And I know, it happens sometimes to me too, but quite rare now that I always use a dehydrator to dry my cookies (that has helped so much). Also, I always try to pipe the 2nd layer when the first is crusted but not fully dried, that helps a lot too.

Where do u get your cookie cutters from?

The round ones came from a box of 101 Wilton cutters I bought at Michael's. But some I get online at cake supply stores and I've also bought 3D printed ones from some cookiers I've found on instagram!

I am a beginner decorator, and I am looking for quality seamless piping bags. I have trust issues with some products on Amazon because I have ordered and received cheap Chinese products. I'm wondering if you can point me in the right direction? Any assistance is very gratefully accepted!

I mostly use the Amazon bags, I've had bathces with a bit thicker seems but no real issues. I find the thinner the plastic the thinner the seam is normally. I've used TMP bags as well (truly mad plastics) and they are thinner and the seams are thin as well. I know How Sweet is That sells the master bags and she usually inspects them to make sure they're good quality. There are some cookiers that also sell their own bags, Borderlands Bakery, Cookie Couture, the Cookie Countess who also sell good quality bags, however some might be slightly thicker than others.
