Your cookie decorating is impressive and beautiful. I don’t get to decorate cookies like this as often as I want to, and I am always looking for new ideas for decorating my cookies. I’m very picky about my cookies because I want them to taste as good as they look. I’ve tried other bakers cookies that are so beautiful that they should be framed and hung on a wall (yours are also that beautiful). However, I’ve noticed that many times bakers pay more attention to the look of the cookie and ignore the taste and texture. Some are the equivalent of tasteless bricks😝. I am NOT saying your cookies are like this, I have NOT had a chance to try your recipe. I look forward to trying it. If your cookies taste even half as good as they look you deserve a BIG THUMBS UP😁👍 and a cookie award 🥇 Another GREAT video🥰Dee

Hi Natalie...I know you love soft, pastel colors, but I actually raise Monarch butterflies from their egg. I would have loved to see a vibrant orange wing color with the black outline and white spots! The true colors of a Monarch butterfly! Nonetheless, your creation is absolutely stunning as always! 🥰

Hi Elvira, thank you for your feedback...i do realize the real monarch colours and have seen so many orange & black butterfly cookies that have been created all over the internet. I just want to put my own spin on this one to match the flower cookies and also sharing the technique of how to create the wings. However, please feel free to change the colour to orange and black when you create your cookies, I have no doubt they will look stunning as the colour contrast will be amazing 😉🦋💖

Hi Nicole, I mix Americolor warm brown icing with some grey to get the brown shade for this cookie. The pink is my usual Wilton Rose gel colour 😁 Hope that helps 😉

Hi Lynzey, maybe one day I will attempt running a class...at this stage I'm struggling to keep up with everything that is going on, specially juggling my full time office job and creating content for cookie decorating. Sometimes I wish I can clone myself so I have more time to do everything lol 😅😜💞

Hi AdalyFe, I chill my dough before cutting & i chill them again before baking. I think it also depends on your butter, if your butter is too soft it can make it more prone to spreading. Are you using my recipe or a different one?

@@CookieliciousNZ hm, so maybe it was the butter. I used your recipe and waited for maaaany hours as you said (that was hard! 😅). Thanks for your advice, I will try another butter brand and temperature next time 😊

@@AdalyFe its really tricky because there are so many different factors that may have cause cookies to spread...the main thing is to ensure that your butter is the right temperature. If you are in a hot room the butter will be a bit more melted. I think if you try using your butter when its still slightly chilled (not rock hard from the fridge) but maybe leave it on your bench for about 30 mins then cut them up into square pieces then use it straight away it will give you a much better result with little spreading. Also, don't put your cut-out cookie dough into a hot baking tray and lining them with baking paper also help your cookies to be baked more evenly. I hope these helps, its hard to troubleshoot without seeing the actual cookie dough 😊

Hi Rose, I don't make my own fondant as I don't use much at all. I bought ready made fondant from the supermarket, usually the Bakels Fondant brand and I use very little to make bows, flowers or other additional accent to decorate my cookies. I store them on my storage compartments and they last for a long time 😁

What type of foam is being use to shape your flowers?

Hi Donna, its a normal Modelling Foam Pad/mat for sugar/fondant work, its actually a pack of 2 square foam (blue & white)to create fondant or sugarpaste flower. I have updated the description box to include a link to the one I have 😉👍💖
