    Thank you for this video! It's very helpful. Are we required to declare the interest earned in our ppf account on a yearly basis? For eg, the interest earned in ppf account during the period 1 Jan 2023 - 31 December 2023? And we have to declare this interest even if we haven't withdrawn the ppf?

    Hello. Only the pension income must be declared. The interest accumulated inside the pension account doesn’t have to be declared.

    @@PrasanthRagupathy but how is that logical? When the ppf is withdrawn, it has to be declared as long term capital gain which ofc takes into account all the interest earned. So does that mean that the interest is double counted??
