How well articulated, best part about all these pointers shared is they are pragmatic and win-win situation as we will learn how to handle the situations in not just work life but elsewhere and grow emotionally. And the last point is absolutely right - it's not about the toxic people getting up each day with an intention to spoil other person's life. They come with baggage, and that itself is their curse sadly. Alas we can just empathise and be good to them, not a tit for tat act basically, and sometimes that does become source for their change in any small way be it!

I have experienced such toxic people in my previous organization. I could barely survive for a year there. The manager and the lead were sadistic and in a span of one year, my whole team of 10 resigned to escape such toxic people. I sometimes really wonder how someone can be so so toxic :/ but like you said, there could be some experiences and/or people that might have resulted to such toxic nature of a person.

In all your videos you have been advising not to talk about another employee or employer who is toxic.. this is so interesting to me becoz we were raised in a school of thought which said - if you share your problem with others you will feel light. However, at work we cannot do this and I learnt it very hard way. Few of my colleagues couldn’t tolerate my boss but yet were quiet about it or moved to another company. However, I spoke to these few colleagues openly as though it was going to be a secret. Finally the message reached my boss somehow and I felt sick becoz that wasn’t my intention but I was just venting out. I wish I hadn’t done it but towards the end I was like the bad person even though my boss was toxic one!!!

Loved this video Ankur. I have been lucky to have been in a toxic working relation only once in 8 years. I realize now, empathizing really helped, to understand where the person was coming from. I did also raise my concerns to him personally and other leaders, managed to get out of the project in less than 2 months. But empathizing actually helped to move on from the drama and the mental stress, and bringing back my own confidence again for next projects.

I just wish this video was released much earlier. Never realised that we can be feeding into the energy by confronting/saying yes..this was happening on a daily basis by the topmost person of the company with my colleagues & myself and Man! The outbursts that wrecks your mental peace and created such a toxic work place. This content definitely makes me understand a little better and to watch out for such signs in future.
