With the blood shrine trick: Consider actually using Acrid's full M1 chain, the third hit heals you and would have saved you time despite the DPS loss on the final 2 golems that spawned in stage one lol

I liked the video a lot gave me some new information like .Using lunar portals to trade for items (if your loot lucks) .Activating the teleporter but leaving the zone to farm enemies .Alien head affecting Visions of Heresy .You can enter the open artifact portal even if the teleporter is not charged .Using the burn of the Magma Worm for Razorwire .The Bulwark Ambry cover spots .Meat Hook being able to proc chain .Creting big distance between high threat enemies

Basically what I took away from this is make good choices in the early game so you can survive long enough for your rng to turn good.

Love your content. Great run. Your rng doesn't invalidate your excellent tips. I tell you, there's nothing better than seeing you have fun and then I get to have more fun from my improved runs. thanks.

Purity +1 backup mag will make your spit attack as fast as an average normal attack, with all the power and poison.... its too damn good.... if you stack a few purity (3) you can jump around like an idiot and just spit epidemics all over the place while bouncing like a crack addicted rabbit

I stopped playing Risk of Rain while waiting for the 1.0 update, but I still instantly click on any video you upload :)

If you're looking for more to do, try mods if you haven't yet, some are very very good. Not to mention it's pretty much among the easiest games to mod even for tech dummies like me

I've got about 180 hours in the game, only about 10-20 is me finally playing on monsoon, and honestly the tips you've given have honestly helped me out SO. MUCH!!! Like you said towards the end, uncut videos like this really show that with some skill and planning, you can definitely turn a run around. And I never even thought about the stage 5 command artifact, that helped out so much too! Keep making vids like this when you can, they are great!

Thank you so so much for explaining what happened in the end and how you could've prevented it, I started the game about 2 days ago (one of your videos popped up on my recommended and I liked the look of the game) and I'm still learning about it all.

Love the long uncut video Woolie! Just seeing you play a run is awesome!

I have fought the artificact reliquary at least 10 times and never realized it shot at you. It just seemed like a wave of defense with a damage the boss gimmick. Fun fact you can completely ignore the bosses bullets

biggest lessons to be learned from these tutorials: good players can never remove rng from the equation, but good players always understand how to manipulate rng in their favor.

I started playing the game yesterday. I love how you are not tightly stricted to the RNG and you can have good runs even if the odds are not in your favour. I still gotta try that command thing.

I started playing yesterday and watched some of your guide videos. Reached stage 5 in no time. So much fun! :)

Love the added touch at the end of the video basically doing a "Death Recap", cause for a newer player like me I wouldn't have known exactly how u died.

Best risk of rain KZreadr ^ by far

on my 3rd play through this game the first day i got it I got most of these great items on commando, and then on top of that I got the aspect of fire drop which I was not aware was so rare. I ended up doing over 1 million damage, but because this was my 3rd time ever playing I managed to get to the big final boss before you loop I still got destroyed because I was just inexperienced but I can't deny that was my best run by far for a long time.

I found your channel not a lot of time ago and I love your content. I never really loved to watch streamers but I am considering jumping into yours regularly just because its very entertaining and educational alike. Anyway, keep up the good work! =)

Really helpful video. I'm new to the game and have always been fully looting every stage (about 10-15 minutes per), I didn't realize until now how much that was actually making it more difficult.

It's an OK suggestion... I've played many god runs on monsoon difficulty while looting every chest, but I suppose Woolie's method could make things easier... maybe. (The difficulty scaling jumps between levels, so your items per minute is negatively impacted by frequent stage hopping).

Woolie a good way to get stuff out of your eyes is to cover your eye with the eye lid (don’t close,grab it) and roll your eye

thanks, that's really useful to know about the blood alters, and spamming Acrids 1st melee attack. I thought I'd mention something you may or may not know, in the blue portal area, going down into the Void Fields area suspends the difficulty timer, and are granted a item per cell that is stabalized. This combined with artifact of command & sacrifice makes the run insane when leaving that area back to the second/third stage because the difficulty is probably still on easy if accessed first stage. I'm only 10 mins into this video, gonna carry on watching

The thing is even if someone already knows it, others don't That's why I look at guides, like your guide on rail gunner got me to initiate on monsoon finally the very next try

Have you tried doing a run with specific artifacts? Like I know you’ve done MAAO run before but I mean like some of the other fun ones. Like command, sacrifice, swarms, kin, and honor. I know CSS is a common set to run but adding kin and honor can add a degree of variability to it. I especially love stacking old guillotine because it applies to all the enemies. Like command is optional, mostly just to get used to the artifact of honor. Just some food for thought

I remember getting a tesla coil + meathook, 2 lens, ukulele, & wisp on stage 1 with huntress. Only to be instantly 1shotted by horde of many golem bois :)))

the game feels so much easier now, I usually take like an hour on just the first 5 stages and enemies don't stand a chance because items scale so well and even bad items are worth the time because of scrappers/printers I can't remember the last time I struggled with a looped stage without using mods to make looping harder. Malachite and celestine enemies are supposed to feel scary but they always die instantly :( also headstompers are op now

54:30 So you guys probably definitely know this by now due to SotV DLC, but RoR2 is divided into 3 main factions: Void, Lunar (Mithrix’s Chimera’s and etc), and (dont know what to call the last one uhhh) Petrichor (the normal creatures that serve Providence from the first game). Void creatures want to take over the planet and the moon but, couldn’t at first because of the existence of Providence (SPOILER killed by the Survivor/You at the end of the first game). Now that he’s gone they’ve begun their assault and try to detain you, a “godly” creature. Mithrix is still a threat but once you kill him, you see the void reavers start to go crazy and attack you and they detain the entire moon. Lunar creatures serve Mithrix who had been at odds with his brother and planned to take over Petrichor V once more. You won’t find them on Petrichor obviously. And Petrichorians are what you’ve been fighting throughout the entire game. They were saved from different planets by Providence and are basically fighting to defend their home from Humans (You), the Void, and Mithrix (although Mithrix never got the chance to invade). That’s why you see the a scavenger and a bunch of other monsters fighting that void reaver. Nice little lore lesson for you guys that I feel is more or less accurate.

I don't really play Risk of Rain 2 anymore but I love watching your videos man, such a shame you died at the end but that was a heck of a good run dude.

One time I got meathook on siren's call. Then I hooked about ten jellyfish into my face. Including a glacial, blazing, and at least two overloading jellies.

how did you hook them into your face? generally the hook deals a LOT of damage and chains so many on hits it kills most 'small' targets and even many mediums too... i assume you were a melee survivor?

tbh as long as you can consistently escape the early game you'll get good rng, I literally get god runs every run, I'm not some amazing player or anything, it's just how the game is, unless your rng is quite literally the worst possible, you will get god runs, even with average rng, especially after the SOTV update.

He probably had to do 5 runs just to get a bad rng run

Had a tesla coil and so many shrimp/polylutes that just about any enemy in range of the coil was instantly proc'd to death, in addition to dealing nearly half mil damage from single crit rebar shot with mul t. Beat mithrix for the first time with this run, also had a bunch of ICBM and had a pretty much endless stream of missiles from the shrimp at all times

The best RNG I've had was doing a Monsoon run on REX, where I had gotten 4 red items by stage 3. I was fucking floored by it. Tbf I was playing on command, but the luck still was insane.

U should do more uncut videos I've been watching ur streams and channel ever since I got the game and outta all the people I've watched ur the best!

@@ziongamer6905 3d gives you way more room to breathe whereas with 2d in the first ror you were more limited to your movement options if you found yourself in a sticky situation. there were cheese methods though

Psychobum91932 Yea I struggled harder getting used to this game than the og...but I have to say being able to cheese the terrain in Ror2 feels good and way safer

on the second or third loop you can get a good of items by doing the artifact of sacrifice for a couple of minutes
