How to deal with an awkward roommate on a cruise ship
Hey Sailors,
If you are going to work on cruise ships then most likely, you will have to share a cabin with someone. Unfortunately, you don’t always end up living with a person that you are compatible with.
Sharing a cabin is very different than sharing a house because, for starters, a cabin is the size of most people's bathrooms and the other person may be from the opposite side of the world, have religious differences, or just enjoy a completely different way of living to you.
Most of my roommates have been great but, there were a few that I found hard to live with. Having had 11 roommates over the past 4 years I’ve spent working on cruise ships, I have managed to learn a thing or two.
In this video, I share my experience with difficult roommates and give advice on how to deal with awkward living situations.
This video will be a great watch if you are thinking of working on a cruise ship or, maybe you currently work on cruise ships but are struggling to cope with your current roommate, and need some friendly advice.

Oh she sounds awful. She told you no ones allowed in the room except you and her? Its no more only her room than just yours. That's a super controlling attitude. You both need to feel comfortable in your own home. Oh she and I would not have gotten along at all. Like wtf she basically telling you what you can or can't do with you're free time. A curfew? When I started out as a Junior Purser I had to share. The problems were; he snored, he took more than 50% of the space, he was messy. It can be hard to live with family let alone a stranger in a cramped space. Thank the lord I have my own cabin now and can shut out the world!

for my six contract i had a amazing cabin mate thanks god...

The Music Directors and Dance Captains also get their own cabins, as well as singers.
Those Work Place conflicts My biggest fears.

In 1998, I was stationed in South Korea as an intelligence analyst after completing my schooling. My roommate shaved his chest and left the stubble on the floor, which I found disgusting. When you are new and young you just don't know. He also smoked up a storm when I had what was then known as the Koren Crud (a virus you get when you get to Korea) while he played my PlayStation 2 lol. Living with anybody changes things.

This woman you had to share the cabin with sounds like a bit of a witch... it should be give and take... Wasnt your fault that you were giving into her on her demands. She's was older than you and was taking advantage of that fact.
