Video suggestions - use the tri pod more & further back for a larger view of the project, when fast forward viewing that’s a great effect - I suggest you lower your back ground music - it’s nice, just too loud. Less direct face time exposure too close. Your doing a great job - very impressive & your wife running equipment is amazing - you both are just a lovely couple. Keep the videos coming!

Great job! I'm dealing with the same muddy mess, southern Oregon. Put some 1.5 minus down for a camper pad. some of it just sunk in the mud when I ran the plate compactor. Probably should have used fabric. Guess I need more gravel for the base before topping with 3/4 minus. I hope I can do the same as you to put the muck boots away! Thanks for sharing.

Great job Didi (sp?)! The drive & parking area look excellent. You’re a master at using your loader. I humbly suggest that you get a bit more rear ballast when using your loader. This is a really important safety issue. Deere has their manuals online to tell you how much ballast weight you should have (usually in one of the Specifications chapters). The weight of your brush hog probably is less than half of the total recommended ballast weight. For example, the total recommended rear weight for a tractor 2 sizes smaller than yours (the 1025) is over a thousand pounds to safely use the loader. Lots of ways to add ballast. Many KZread videos on this topic. Not meant as a criticism, just a safety suggestion that many tractor owners don’t know about.

I have mud on my open space parking and this helped

Yep, I’m sure it’s time to lube them up again. Dede ran through 2 tanks of gas which should be about 16 hrs of hard bucket work. 👍 -Robert

Cats like "I know I saw a big here earlier?!" I'm so happy for you guys! I'd cringe every time you guys had to deal with that muddy mess! Even in the desert, rock and crusher is key. We delt with cock-a-burrs for 4 years in our "natural" landscape. I mean 1000's per foot!! So this year we brought in the crusher fines and 900lb roller and got most of it done did. I can't tell you how important just a doable drive and walkway does to a property! Mud is the worst though! Great job Deer-Dee Dee!! You guys will be so happy in a few years when the whole drive to your casa is done! But this is awesome, covered working area and drive and walk ways/parking... my guess is the work load for floor washing will be cut in half at least. Wahhoo!! Smiles and blessings...

Lol. what is going on this year? I saw that Big Ben had the fastest release this year of any QB in the league, like 2.5 seconds. I don’t know what to think if he doesn’t hold onto the ball for 20 seconds and get tackled and break something else. 😂😂 -Robert

I know it's been a while since you got that gravel...you said you got 100 yds...do you remember how that divided between the 4" minus & the 3/4" minus...50 yards 4" minus ,& 50 yards 3/4" minus or some other ratio...we have a lot of mud here & I'd love to order some gravel...thanks for the video

It was a 60/40 split. I just don’t remember which 60/40… 😂 lol. No I’m pretty sure it was 60% 3/4 minus. -Robert

Rock is soooooo expensive here in Ontario. That would have been about $4k in rock alone. $700 for 21 ton.

Yeah who ever said country living was cheap? 🤔 I think we paid about $2800 last year, but I bet with fuel prices right now we wouldn’t be too far away from that. Some people buy fun stuff with their tax returns. We just buy more work. 😂 -Robert

Great job folks. I would like to say that if at all possible to let your subscribers know to re sub to you guys or something because I had not been getting update notices of any new videos or content for months and happened to have seen a glimpse or a video you posted and the kittens were a thumb nail but last I had seen a video you didn't have kittens and boy had I missed a lot. WOW so much work and everything loos great!! I ended up changing my subscription to none and then clicked again to sub to all and got a notice today of new vid. maybe this is happening to other subscribers? ive got a beautiful back yard, tree'd in - very private, love it. However, my chicken coup is turning into a mud pit - gravel isnt really an option, is there any other way anyone knows of to turn mud back into dirt - other than spending thousands on drainage or is that the only option?

If it’s just foot traffic you could use straw or bark. if property has any slope you could dig a French drain to keep the ground from getting saturated. -Robert

The base rock here in Oregon is commonly called 4 inch minus or base rock. Roughly 4” rocks and smaller aggregates that lock it all together. I Can’t remember exactly now but I think it was like a 60/40 split 60% base. -Robert
