The most helpful video!! Thanks for sharing
Simple and fast. Thank you so much!
Hi, thank you for sharing this tutorial and empowering us newbies to try it out ourselves! Would you know if the software is limited to cutting only a few shapes at one go? I had an svg file with 12 pieces of shapes to cut and my studio software kept crashing when I select Fabric Linen, or select another shape to make blue with the Rotary Cut option.. I can never completely select everything to make blue and successfully send the job to cut... ;( Do I need to fill the first carriage with my autoblade or it is fine leaving it empty? Do I need to save my svg file in an earlier version?
I want to cut jersey stretch what settings would work? I can not add stabilizer to this fabric i need it as is.
Can the cameo cut denim fabric ?

The Cameo 4 can cut on a mat that is 12x24 inches. The Cameo Plus and Pro have a larger cutting surface.
I am having a problem using the rotary blade using my cameo4 plus. The message incompatible material settings always comes out, and I am wondering it was referring to fabric, linen(tool1) whereas I should be using tool 2. Do you have an idea how to solve this problem?

I noticed when I use the free designs that came with the silhouette came4 plus the rotary and kraft blade works but when I use the mask I made using illustrator and converted into svg it sends the error message.

The first thing that comes to mind is to make sure that the cut lines are blue in the send menu, which indicates that they will be cut by the tool in the second carriage (where the rotary blade needs to be placed). 0:51 shows what I am talking about. Does that help? Or are you still having the same issue?
Can it cut straight lines as to cut fabric for quilting?

Yes!
What Matt did you use?
Mine doesn't seem to want to cut thoroughly. Even simple printed cotton doesn't come out well. :(
Have you ever tried to cut short pile minky fabric? I want to try it but I'm scared.

I don’t know if the heat during the process would melt the minky, or not. But it didn’t me,t the felt she used. Minky might be too thick also.
Does it cut felt?
You make it look so simple and for some reason it isn’t for me. I just setup my Cameo 4 Pro and tried cutting twice. Both times were a flop. Instead of a rectangle, it did a straight line both times. The mat was moving left to right and the fabric wasn’t adhering very well. I’m waiting for a strong tack mat to be delivered. I’ve watched videos where people said to use starch and freezer paper. Tried it with the same results. I’m getting frustrated and I’m not sure what I’m doing wrong.

A question regarding the cut ... Do you always leave those threads uncut at the edges?

I wouldn't
My cameo 4 is awful. It keeps giving me error codes and crashing when hrn I try to use the rotary blades. It has been the biggest waste of money

Cutting fabric seems like kind of a tricky problem. It seems like the way to do it is really by using oscillating tangential knife machines. You might try trying to actually glue down fabric you are trying to cut to a more rigid surface like paper.
