    After I cut and bend/break the drywall, I usually cut it from behind on the reverse side (brown side of paper), just another tip, thanks for the video! I tried to hook my tape on my knife (25mm) olfa and it wasn't working, I will try again. Guys cut your drywall this way if you do it for a living, because your boss will know you have experience when he's sees you not cutting drywall like a beginner. Great video.

    Great tip! I've been using this technique to score drywall since the 70's. I use this same technique to pencil straight lines on flat sheets (drywall, plywood, cement backer board, etc. etc.)

    Use a small magnet. I don't know how well it works on plaster and lathe though

    lol that was 4 and 7/8ths and that measurement was with a crooked tape so its really a 1/4 inch shy so with your inaccurate cuts you could just measure everything "tight" and it will always fit.
