A slit won't be necessary cause the skirt isn't pencil.

No ma. Just add enough allowance on the zipper side. You can always adjust from there

Ma no need for ease allowance? Because I was thinking it’ll be tight if the exact measurements is been used

You can add ease allowance if your fabric isn't stretchy

Cut out 1 inch on fold, sew with half inche and turn
