I love wearing an Afro because everybody nowadays is wearing an undercut/fade or dreads so a nice fluffy afro helps to stick out of the crowd ✊🏾

I’m growing my son a fro for that reason too.
That double pass on the shape of the fro is key, you don't see too many barbers do this it just shows true dedication 💪💯
Nice and no lie that second pick out is key. After my big chop I went to a barber who did not do that and my TWA was uneven and tons of hair left on top. Second barber I went to made sure everything was even and when he did that second pick out and cut again I said you have a loyal customer sir!.....then came covid, now my husband cuts my hair and he’s bald😭.
This is a great cut. Just started my journey, makes me excited for growing my hair out.
Damn! This cut is dope. I'm a barber too but I envy you for good. 👍🔥🔥🔥
Thanks for always sharing your videos. God bless. 🙏🏽💯🌷🌻🌟🙂

I like my afro shaped with the scissors its just alot better. They dont make them type of barbers nowdays

How is it really better. Maybe it is but clippers are more accurate than shears I'm sure, especially for afro textured hair.

@@PeteS_1994 clippers just take way too much off. I'm not growing my hair out for years just for some random barber that I dont have a clue of his shaping abilities and he end up screwing my shit up and that's an entire problem by itself now cause now I'm not fucking paying him..been their done that. Clippers are a no go. I've had a barber a guy in his mid 30s was so icy with the scissors and the clippers that he had an entire barber shop waiting on him buddy was taking other barbers customers yea he was that dope . He told me if a motherlover wasnt just as good with the scissors, razor as he is with the clippers then you need to stop fucking with him hes one dimensional barber that dont know what they doing. Brotha had an entire barber shop tuned in. Had my shit looking like a microphone and not that webbie shaped afro I've been seeing as of late. I'm picky anyway so I ain't about to let anybody fuck on my head not even a fucking edge up just cause I'm in a hurry cause everybody cant cut, shape, or even give edge ups.

Bro this was a good video. I got kinda curly hair so I don't need my fro cut all the time. You just saved me some money showing me how to trim it.
Lovely tips
Wowww that looks so cool! I'm a beginner and want to learn more about afro hair cus I'm scared by the free hand !!
nice job, I wish the barbers in my area could cut afros like this!!!
at the beginning the way you were picking up the hair with a pick. Can you make a video explaining that technique? Cuz when I use it, I don't know if I should use the tip of the pick or unut From the root or from the ends
Thanks best step by step video on this cut online
Nice job!

Afros are one of the most hardest haircuts because u have to keep picking it out and it has to be even in order to look good!
Dude afro is fresh, you did a great job bro! Do you put holding spray or hairspray on the fro then shape it up?
@BarberStyleDirectory

Qadash144 I don’t, I just pick it out and shape it. The key is to pick it out and shape it twice

is it typical to pick out the hair just once or do you sometimes have to keep picking it? thx 💪

I always told my barber I wanted a Webbie fro I always had to argue wit him cuz he ain't know 🤦🏾♂️🤦🏾♂️
Wish Yu were in Chicago...…..all the barbers I've been to can't shape and blend a fro the way I want it. I say the same thing every time "Light taper on the sides and the back, light bulb shape fro" And they only give me the once over then spritz on top
U ar pretty!👏🏻
My afro is mushroom shaped because the fro grows faster than the sideburn area. I hope the sideburn area can be blended without cutting the afro down a lot.
Its still some bulk on the back. You have to use clipper over comb to get it out. Or use a 1.5 wahl guard coming down on it to get rid of the bulk. You did a good job tho.
Need dat instrumental bro bro
My afro is 8 months old, i didn't trim it yet..i'll try it.

Doesn’t all that shaping ruin it if he wants braids? Now his hair is different lengths in all over

It'll grow enough to braid, and once he gets braids a good barber (sometimes the braider) can clean up the rest
How do you trim an afro with a guard if you doing it by yourself and you don't want to mess up? Lol

I don't like the shaped fro because it looks artificial. When I was having am afro, I wanted my to look more natural.

It’s gonna look natural after a wash. Getting your fro shaped keeps things tidy and “professional”

@@tyrellspeed90 Exactly there is nothing wrong with just letting it grow freely how it want to long as you keep it lined up regularly and keep the sides low it's fine
Bummed thought the hairstyle was for a girl for some reason I wan't to get an afro even though I know It might not suit me.
This costing the shop a lot on electricity. I have worked with Vietnamese barbers who can do this cut in five minutes. I had to learn fast because these barbers put me to shame.
