How to cut a LAPPED DOVETAIL by HAND

In this video, I show you from start to finish every little detail when it comes to cutting a lapped dovetail by hand. Believe it or not, these are actually slightly easier than through dovetails in many cases as the joint is only visible on one face as opposed to two.

    I put you and Frank Klausz cutting the lapped dovetails in the queue next to each other and watched them both a couple of times one after the other. Rather fascinating and educational. Hope that doesn't insult you; it's quite remarkable.

  • @MattEstlea

    @MattEstlea

    They’re blades from a company called Pegas. Roughly 14tpi. Just make sure you get their feet saw blades and not coping saw blades, the latter are a lot thicker.
