How to Customize Triumph Scrambler 900 | British Customs

In this video, James from British Customs showcases various customizations made to a 2011 Scrambler 900. Key upgrades include shotgun slip-ons for a raw, vintage sound and performance, a flat bench Slammer seat for improved mobility and comfort, and aesthetic enhancements such as retro-style fenders and tail lights to complement the bike's classic look. James also details practical modifications like durable, made-in-house ASV F3 levers, a direct mount reservoir for a cleaner handlebar setup, and a high mount fender bracket for better durability. The bike is fitted with performance-oriented parts like the Continental TKC80 tires and Works performance damper rods, enhancing both its on-road and off-road capabilities. Additional custom elements include a power commander for optimized performance, an air box Eliminator kit with K&N air filters, and a uniquely painted custom gas tank inspired by Toyota TRD colors.

The Scrambler 900 (In my opinion) is the best Triumph bike made. In all fairness, I have yet to try the 2500cc Rocket 3R though. Great build guys. This bike is nearly identical my 2017 Scrambler. Excellent job.

The Scrambler 900 is definitely a great bike, probably one of our top 3. With that cam, Shotgun Pipes and air box removed, it's still probably our meanest sounding bike. We're thinking about taking this build a little further now, since we've been running this setup or something similar (like a few parts changing) for a few years now.

Love this motorcycle 😍😍, trying to build my Himalayan into a scrambler. Got a lot of inspiration from this motorcycle, I mean this is just mad machine right here. Anyways thank you for this beautiful video, looking forward to see more scrambler builds. Cheers🍻 ❤

Really digging on that tank rack. I wish this was an option for my 2019!

Thanks! To make the rack functional, we welded studs to the tank. While some customers have had success with securing their racks using suction cups, we weren't willing to trust this method for our own rack. In our case, we prioritized functionality over other potential solutions and decided to go with the welded studs.

Looks so good with that color and black logo! Do you happen to remember how big that BC vinyl logo is? I’m working on a custom tank right now and like the size of that logo. Thanks!

I'm working on reproducing this build but I don't seems to find that exact bar on the website...also would the stock cables make it or is it necessary to extend those I was also thinking to upsize the front wheel, is that one stock size? Thanks guys, you are the best.

I was looking at a 2020 Street twin 900 that I wanted to make into a scrambler. Should I just look to get a Scrambler 1st. Pro/cons converting a Street Twin?

  • @britishcustoms

Either or works. The Street Twin may be more versatile as it serves a great blank canvas for going into a scrambler or even cafe

I'd like clarification on something about your build that I've been wondering about for a long time with my 2006 Scrambler. You appear to have the rectifier relocation kit equipped with the high mount fender kit (with what looks like the OEM front fender). I noticed on the product page you guys said the high mount kit wouldn't clear the relocated r/r. Does the high mount fender in fact clear the relocated r/r or did you have to do something else to this bike to make it work? Ive never seen both done at the same time like on this bike.

  • @britishcustoms

It'd require relocating the horn as the front fender would rub directly on the horn hence we have that notice.

Dear BC-Team I have a 2015 Scrambler 900 EFI and would love add engine guards if only I would find them. There are the one's from Hepco-Becker that are so huge, the bike starts to look like a Harley or an RE. A tip would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
