This worked for my '19 civic Si. thanks man!!

Thank you for this, very helpful. On the secondary skin, the audio screen defaults to the tiles look, big buttons on the right and a very compressed music info on the left. Hitting the music info expands it to the entire screen and then you can get to the presets and I believe a few extra buttons depending on the source. Is there any way to default to that expanded screen instead of the "tiled" look? Thanks!

So I have used images with these dimensions without issue: 2560 X 1440 pixels image size 295 KB But in this example the image was 600X350 pixels 102 KB size.

You're not able to use your phone to upload a picture. It has to be a USB drive. Reason being the car doesn't have the ability to search through folders on your phone.

I tried to do this with plugging in my phone to the USB port doesn’t seem to work so I am assuming I need to put the backround image on a memory stick

From my understanding you can not. It does not allow you to search through different folders. That is why a thumb drive works and your phone will not.

I asked this question about my 2020 Passport. Justin says only the civic has these options, it really disappointing

How do you load the pictures into your usb? Do they need to be in a folder with a specific title? I tried putting JPG into the usb without putting it into a folder per se in 3 different USB drives and the head unit did not recognize my usb drive.

It could be the filesystem used on the usb drive, usually they will require it to be FAT32 or EXFAT, I don't know for this car in specific, but you can give that a try !

On top of the system right above the home button. It’s a small gray button.

I tried to change my wallpaper and it sees 2 things on my flash drive but I get a couldn’t load the image error message. Also I switched to a stock different background and it switched back to the grassy one that come on right when you change your skin. Any thoughts??

If you can not see the image you want to load, it may be that the USB drive is formatted funky. You can always reformat and try again. I would try changing skins, then changing your background image to see if it stays.

I am guessing that yo can NOT move the tiles on the alternative skin. I have watch many of your video which are great, but the tiles are always on the bottom on the 2nd skin. I was hoping to see I can stack them like the newer Accord stereo.

@@JustinFullerReviews thanks, but to let you know on my 2021 CRV EXL I messed around with it yesterday and to my surprise I setup the alternative skin and moved the tiles around so it looks kinda like the new Accord & Civic stereo. Pretty cool. Great videos by the way. I just shared some on the CRV Facebook page. 😀

You need a USB. To plug directly into the port. Using a usb connected through cord wont work either. Goodluck :)

Hi! I just got a 2016 Civic and I’m having issues changing the wallpaper. I followed these steps but it says 0 images available- but it will read it the drive when I change the clock wallpaper? It’s a FAT32 drive, the images are in the direct root, none of them are over 5MB, and they’re all .jpg files. Any ideas?

I havent been able to find a way to yet. I will say that there is a way easier way to change your wallpaper and live wallpaper. Drag from the top on any screen just to bring up your notification drawer just like if you would on android. When the drawer is pulled down on the top left you will see a settings icon. Click it and you will go straight to android settings instead of having to go thru Honda settings then to android settings.

my 2020 civic home screen always shows the buttons its never just a blank screen (as in just the picture or back ground). how do i get the screen to just show the background no buttons?

You would not. The car doesn't have the ability to search through folders on a phone. This is why a USB stick works. It is just one large folder...

There are templates that you can download. I made mine in Photoshop with layers. In premiere you just set layers to come into the screen at certain times.

I do not know. Most dealers only want to put OEM equipment in the vehicles. And they usually will year match. This would probably be a question for a custom sound shop.

Probably easier to do it from your phone as I don’t think you can via the display. Unless you hold down skip to fast forward manually to the part you want :)

Lmao I feel you on wanting this feature, I haven’t found any way to do it without just using my phone, but I definitely want to do it when I have a “song” that’s actually a combination of tons of different songs and want to skip through certain portions.

Whaaaaaat.... I've had my Civic since 2017 and it always bugged me. How boring the skin was... They don't think I realized you could press those arrows at the top and get to more tabs and what we're showing on the first screen
