Wassup Xavier, Love the customizing vids! I wanted to know what paints you use because I want to start customizing.

Need to change the tape you are using dude as the bleeds take away from a clean finish. Electrical tape won’t prevent the bleeds as it’s a plastic, try using the tape spray painters use, it creates a really tight seal and barrier.

Painters tape doesn’t seal over the numerous layers on the shoe including the stitching and will leave bleeds

I like how you applied the vinyl to the shoe . What type tool you are using to apply the stencil to the shoe. And where do I go to the purchase it.what type of vinyl transfer tape you used to applied to the shoe

You should do a tattoo sleeve inspired Jordan 1, where the outer lining is colored tattoo and the toe box is black lining only, and the swoosh is colored tattoo as well. You should see if you can use temporary tattoo to transfer the design the shoes and color them in with Posco Markers if needed. Just a thought for a custom.

Question after you finish painting , does the matte finish protect the paint from being scratched off or do you have to do a few coats to make sure?

Yeah the matte finish does protect it. I don't think you'll need to re-coat after applying the finisher 😊

@jalonzo310 is Angelus shoe paint w/ 2 hard. They also make a red paint specific for soles, used mainly in repairing Loubuttons. If you want any other color besides red though you just need to add the 2-hard from Angelus to the color desired. I go with a 3:1 paint- 2-hard solution and that should get you taken care of. Also most importantly prep work. Aceatone, Sand paper and adhesion inhancer will all help ensure your project ends the way you want it too! Hope this helps! JHawk Tha SNKR SHAMAN!

Your vids are good but all that talking is to much

Your lines are janky man. Need to use something different to tape off your lines. Every single one of had bleed through. How can you preach about "professional" shoe customization and then have your line work look like a fifth grader's coloring book? Look up 3M "fine line" tape. It'll make them lines crispy clean. Vinyl tape will screw up your line work every time, no matter how you lay it and pull it.
