@DevanOnDeck The steam definetly helps and to fix the crease in your fitted I recommend steaming it until its a decently damp and then put a few books on the brim overnight until its perfectly flat and then curve it again, it should work.

Man, the 90's must of just been different. Cause the art of the curve was taught at a young age

For chilly weather, a proper hat is better. Something like a fedora or homburg is great, but only if you're brave enough to look dapper

I’m work at lids, and when we curve fitted hats we use a steamer which generally softens the rim and avoids causin the curve issue. It’s also ensures the curve last long. Also u should use a cylinder like object to curve things instead of your hands or rubber bands. Hopefully that helps.😊

I’ve notice if u manually bend the brim with your hand , it also straightens out the top of the hat losing that stiff high hat and making it into a low hat like a baseball hat

Im glad that curved brims are back in style. I get tired of these young-ins telling me to get rid of the "redneck roll." My hats aren't even curved to that extreme. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Rubber band and steamer or brim curver and steamer would work just fine, also if you don’t have a steamer a hot towel compress would work

Learned this in the military lol. You get the hang of it quickly cause you always need a couple of extra covers around as they magically go missing from time to time if you’re not careful.

I wear mine and gently fold from the sides. After a few wear and moisture from sweat it takes a nicer curve. Or steam it if you're worried about it getting too sweaty. I wear mine mostly for the function and not so much for the look.

You can still save that creased brim on that FOG fitted, just steam the brim on both sides, flatten it out, then recurve it.

Facts, I use the same method

Steam the brim for a few seconds take one of those tall metal flasks or tumblers, (or something that cylindrical and around that width) and fold brim around the mug I like to steam the brim again for a few seconds while it’s wrapped around the tumbler then just hold it like that for about 5 minutes and then let it go let it dry out and bam tbe perfect symmetrical brim every time

Steam the brim then press it against something round like spray bottle or a thermos

I’m too lazy to do it myself with a steamer (since it’s better) so I take it to my local fitted store that does it for 5 dollars. They got a special tool for it and it gets the PERFECT curve

instead of height, outfits are more about proportions. like if someone has strong shoulders and another person doesn't, the outfit just isn't gonna hit the same way. also some short people look taller because of their torso-to-leg ratio or camera angle/lens
