44 yrs old. The thinnest shortest straightest eyelashes EVER! Countless curlers, tutorials etc. Always got this wierd crimp in the middle of my super short lashes. Your tip about focusing on laying the bottom pad at the base of the lash made a world of difference! Thank you soooo much. I always just thought I couldn't find the right shaped curler for my eye shape or just that my lashes we just too short to curl! I'm 44!44! And just now finding out it was my technique! 🤦

I’ve always had the original 20R wide, the 18R is a new style.

A lot of people recommend brand Ryphr- but it looks just like the other cheaper ones like elf or revlon - What makes it so much more expensive I wonder...

I used the Revlon eyelash curler for decades. I haven't tried rephyr, but I do have a shu eumura and a shiseido. I don't know what the magic is, since they all look alike, but the higher end ones definitely do work much better!

it's probably the rubber part if there's rips in it, it can pull out ur lashes

I had a curler that died on me too. Changed the pad but it never worked right again..very strange lol.

Many years ago, I had attempted to purchase new pads for my eyelash curler. The sales person had indicated to me that the mechanism wears out just as a pair of old scissors would. Once that was explained to me, I got it. Basically have to buy a new one and eventually that will wear out as well. I do have a collection of eyelash curlers now for that reason.

Maybe try not curling quite as close to the root? And possibly purchasing a differing type of curler, have you tried the smaller one that I demonstrate in this video?
