    I am almost finished with this cardigan, and I love it! I found some yarn that was not as expensive. Caron has Latte Cakes, that looks and feels like Hygge; it has 530 yards per cake, and with coupon, I was able to get it for $5.99; instead of $9.99 (regular price). It is so soft and cozy! I may have to make another one, in a different colorway! 💗💗💗

    You can make this shrug without the seem as Oana shows how to crochet hers. You crochet enough rows to measure the 7 inches for the armholes for each side then join one side and continue crocheting the pattern up to the next armhole. Join the second armhole and crochet pattern as usual. Join and continue crocheting to the rows needed. Finish trim pattern for body and armholes and done with no seams. So 👍 nice and easy.

Thank goodness for u tube, and people like you. 🤣 l have too many blanket's and just learnt kids cardies. This is my first it project. I'm confused though, does the chain 3 at the end of each row count as a stick? Please help me someone. I've pulled it undone so many times , lm about to give up. Thanks so much, in advance xxxx

  • @mooglyblog

    @mooglyblog

    5 жыл бұрын

    Yes, the chain 3 would count as a stitch. If you always end up with one too many or one too few, it won't make a huge difference, as long as it's the same number from row to row. :)

  • @krystalsimon9924
    @krystalsimon99245 жыл бұрын

    Hi! Im a beginner but have had so much fun learning with your tutorials. Is it natural to "struggle" with going into the back bump? You do it with so much ease ☺ Also i cant ever seem to make perfect squares, rectangles etc. My project always looks like a trapezoid. Thanks for your time and videos!!! 😍

  • @mooglyblog

    @mooglyblog

    5 жыл бұрын

    Thank you Krystal! It's normal to struggle a bit going into the chain - no matter which loops you go under! It's just a fiddly process, and generally no one's favorite part of crocheting. As a beginner, wonky rectangles are also very normal, and a stage we ALL go through. My best tips are to count your stitches often, and use a stitch marker in the first and last stitch or each row to make sure you aren't dropping or adding stitches somewhere. After that, blocking can hide a lot of sins too! That's just getting your work damp, and then shaping it so it has nice straight lines and letting it airdry. :) I hope some of these tips help!

    I do love this and I get the drape reasoning BUT because I am just barely tipped into the plus zone I fear it becoming stretched out and looking sloppy. As per front loop only And using the double crochet stitch. It's so long and somewhat unstable. I really hope for your reply. Advice?

  • @mooglyblog

    @mooglyblog

    Hi Lynda! It's a pretty heavy sweater and I haven't found too much instability yet, but you can absolutely work under both loops if preferred - just work until it's the right length! The schematic is included in the written pattern: www.mooglyblog.com/hygge-cocoon-cardigan

    Hi Steffers! Since children come in so many different sizes, I'd take one of her long sleeve shirts and chain from about elbow to elbow, across the back. :)

    I am very confused about the sleeve. First, you said to add two stitches on each side of the sleeve, then you said you added a sc all around the first round. Which one is it? I read the pattern and did not understand that either.

  • @mooglyblog

    @mooglyblog

    You are working into the sides of the rows, so 2 sc sts per row, worked evenly around the opening for the sleeve, should give you 36 or 44 sts, depending on size.

    I am stuck on the sleeves because you show how to do row 3 and that is it. I know you say it’s the same, but it’s not the same because the previous row does not have the 2 together to crochet behind... so when I got to do row 4 and beyond it isn’t working right for me. I don’t know what I’m doing wrong. It’s like I’m adding extra stitches because it’s starting to fan out like a flower and not stay tight and straight. So frustrating after all this work and I’m at the very end!

    Hello, I'm sorry for the confusion! Rows 3-14 of the sleeve are worked even - one stitch around each stitch of the previous row. Is your stitch count staying the same?

  • @mooglyblog

    @mooglyblog

    5 жыл бұрын

    Hi Diana! 6X is where it becomes a little tighter, so I'd add another 10 Stitches, and add 2-4 more Rows (depending on if you also want it longer). Then, for the sleeves, I would skip Round 2 and just work the ribbing for an extra row or two (try it on to see if you need more length in the sleeve before breaking the yarn). I hope that helps! :)
