Thank you for explaining this stitch in a clear, concise, and slow, repetitive manner. I’m glad I stopped by your channel. This is one of the best explanations of the herringbone stitch I’ve seen. Awesome!

What a great tutorial! I love this stitch! You teach it so well. It's great to show how mistakes can be made by skipping stitches. Really like how you show that! Thank you so much for posting! You've shown how crocheting is so versatile! AWESOME!

Thank you for this tutorial! I just recently got back into crocheting and I been trying to find a pretty stitching I like for my baby girl blanket that I'm making for her. This is beautiful and you explain it in a way I can follow you easy and you go slow enough for me especially being a newbie, or coming back into the crocheting world, thank you!!!💜💜💜

I love this stitch and yours is the first tutorial on herringbone that includes that third “bar” or loop so you don’t get a line on the back side. Very clear explanation, thank you! This seems to create a very dense fabric-if I wanted to make a more draping fabric for a throw, for instance, would I just go up multiple sizes on the hook?
@Yarnstitchcolour
4 ай бұрын
Thank you 😊 for your kind comment! For a drapey fabric, use a thinner yarn (am using a bulky here). If you go up a hook size the diagonal lines won't have a good tension, they'll look loose. Use a yarn with more number of ply so that the yarn is ' rounder'....& The effect will be perfect lines n drapey fabric. Sorry for a lengthy answer 😶

This is a gorgeous stitch and your technique for instruction is perfect for learning this stitch well! I wonder if it can be altered to create a pointed shall...anything is possible. Anywho thank you!
Recently, I also want to learn the cable stitch pattern that the cable looks like heart shape. Can you have time in the future to make a tutorial on this pattern ? I am just a new crotchet beginner but your tutorial is really slow and patient enough for beginners to follow.

You can join the beginning chain in a circle. Make row repeats same as shown here.....join every round with ch1 and turn around to make the next round...

Hi, am using a yarn called Ganga 'motu' (literally meaning 'chubby' in Hindi). It's yardage is 75 meters per 100 grams. I will post a link in the description box...so that everyone can easily refer. Thank you so much for asking 😊
hmmmm I just watched multiple different videos on the herringbone stitch and this is the only one done like this lol very confusing but I like this version better

I have similar thick wool yarn. I tried making a scarf ( but it's kinda stuff). Then I made into a top, it doesn't look good . Kindly make a loose ( with gap) muffler or something: pattern 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🎀🎀🎀🎀🎀🫶🏻🫶🏻🫶🏻🫶🏻❣️❣️❣️❣️❣️❣️🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

I agree, this thick wool becomes too stiff for a wearable. Will try to find a softer thick yarn for muffler...👍🏻❤️
Wonderful stitch! How does that bird in the background not drive you crazy?! It gave me a headache and I couldn't finish the second half of the video. Sorry.
@Yarnstitchcolour

Thank you, yes its a beautiful stitch indeed :) ! & I understand...the bird noise can do that, so sorry you got a headache. Would you like to mute and watch the second part.....the visual is slow...even without the vocal instructions it might be useful.

Sure hope that was a bird not a squeaky mattress in the background 😮
