Been following your tutorials for over a year and watched other's too, and I must say that yours have been my favorite and you just can make it so easy to follow and your instructions are very clear. Thank you, and truly appreciate your hard work teaching others how to crochet.
So fun!! I bet this would look cute in Red Heart Ombré Yarn!

It is super cut! And, I'm not going to lie, think I would make the straps shorter and use some sort of a purch handle join at the top of them, instead of knotting them. Something like this: juldesigns.com/mountain-explorer-leather-bag-handle/

Marly Bird love that idea. Now for international postage to Australia to get back on board. 😥. Look on the bright side I can organise it to be completed by next Spring so I have maybe 4 months 🙂 now there’s a plan😉
Thank you , for showing how to do the magic ring . I have trouble with the ring and I keep trying until I get. 😉😉😉 And I like all of your videos.

Wow, thank you!
Just a note - I feel like it is harder to pinpoint the top of a hdc, compared to a dc, and it might be a good idea to point that out especially for beginners

Okay, thank you for that suggestion.
Off to my stash to find some cotton yarn......and maybe line it with a happy fabric!

Yes, a lining would be nice.
Thank you for sharing! Question...where did you purchase your crochet hook?
Hi Marly, love your videos! May I know what are the yarn you are using in your video? Seem very nice to work with.
Did you turn your work between round 1 and 2? You don’t show doing slip stitches to get to your first ch 2 space
Marly, I would love to know where you purchased the crochet hook you're using. It is adorable.
I love ur hook...i've never seen that kinda hook in my country *Indonesia 😅
False stitch is messing up my count. Can I just use it as a stitch? Or just cut it out completely? I'm considering going with a regular square just with hdc
The slip stitches are confusing. Are they part of the stitches or just extra to get you to the cn sp?
Hi Marly, have a question.. when I read your instructions in the special technique for magic ring you have us chain 1 and then say to begin round 2. For round 2 you would have us chain 2. So that is a total of 3 chains at the outset. Though when I followed this video only 2 chains were made in the beginning… what am I understanding incorrectly please? From a beginner who is motivated thanks to your videos!

I believe that chain 1 after the creation of the ring is to secure it in place. I usually will make that chain tight so it doesn’t show in the work. I believe it’s technically optional though. I’m not 100% sure. I’m just barely past being a beginner myself lol
Do you have a knitted version of this bag please
Your hook loooks awesome, would you please share where you got it?

Did you turn your work between round 1 and 2?
I love this bag. I just am having trouble with the ch 2 at the beginning of the rounds. It makes it look as if there is 3 stitches...too confusing for me. My counts are all off.

It was hard for me too so I used the marker. You could decide to make that ch 2 a stitch then just eliminate the hdc?

Marly Bird Oh thank you Marly, I thought I was missing something. I have frogged numerous times.....lol...the stitch marker didn’t work well for me, it still looked like there are 3 stitches. I’m gonna try and make the ch 2 stitch and see how that works. Thank you for your response. I really was excited to make it and disappointed because it wasn’t working...now I’m excited again.....🧶😍
I love this bag but I am so confused. I thought I was supposed to do all of my rounds continually. So mine is one big square not three. Also I did not see where you put the second handle. I’m assuming it’s kiddie- corner from the one in Round 18. I hope this makes sense. Help please

Hi stella. I just started this today but the 3 sides are, 1 middle and 2 of the same sides so a total of 3 squares. Im kinda stuck on the slip stitching but i think im doing ok

I love her hooks. I have several of them.
Estou tentando fazer a bolsa cinza com branco, não falo sua língua se tivesse alguem para interpretar seria melhor
i have the same problem as someone prior mention i keep getting 3 rows at the begin of each round. so after round 1 when i begin round two i don't have a ch 2 space for me to do a hdc????? anyone who could help me would be great!
@MarlyBird

My best suggestion is to use a stitch marker.
Where can i get the hook?😊😊😊
I cannot find a copy of free pattern download?
The chain 2 at the beginning of the rounds is absolutely confusing. I’ve been sitting here replaying this video for 2 hours trying to get the correct amount of stitches in each row correct, and I can’t. The last row of each round always winds up off. I’m frustrated. I can’t be the only one confused by this.
