Beautiful pattern, how can I adapt it for a 9 years old ?

I've almost finished these beautiful booties, I only need to sew the ears. The problem I have is that when my daughter wears the booties they come off, I think the upper part is too loose. Any idea of how can I fix this? Thanks!

Hello Patricia. When I created this pattern the size was perfect for my daughter. If your stitch tension is not too loose, maybe you can measure your daughters ankle and sew a very thin elastic on the inside, or make some decreases in the last 2 rows,and add one more decrease row, in a way that will snug in her leg. I have same problem with most bootie patterns so I tried some sock patterns. I like elastic idea.

Hi Jo. The measurement for 9-12 months is aprox 11cm (4,5 in). You can try a 2mm hook and make a sole. If it's the right lenght, just keep going 😊. Hope I could help. Have fun.

Hello can you explain what to do if you want these in a smaller size like 3-6 months. I got the sole from you but the top I am not sure. If you can help that would be wonderful :)

Hello Karima. For the top part, you can actually follow the pattern of the boots with the heart that I uploaded last week. @@myshop_and_meYou can try 4 mm hook if you have a more loose stitch tension, or 4.5mm if your tension is tight. :)
