Here in Anchorage, we are no longer allowed to use single-use plastic bags so I have been crocheting market bags like crazy! (Making them for Christmas & to give away to the senior center). Yours by far is the best one I have made. Thank you Crystal for another great tutorial!

Our area is going "green"; so we are getting used to taking bags with us. It was really difficult, at first, but paying a nickel for each paper bag, I started remembering. This bag is the perfect size, for a quick trip. Thank you for the tutorial. This would make a great beach bag (made bigger).

Love this tutorial. I have this cotton cone that I've been wanting to make something with. I was thinking that cotton would be cooler to crochet that wool or acrylic in this hot Illinois weather lol. I love the addition of the beads. I'm an old hippie!

I love this bag and the idea of the plastic base to strengthen the bottom is obvious but I've never seen before. So brilliant. I have made 5 or 6 different market bags and I think this is going to be my next. One thing to keep in mind though is that when choosing your bag height consider how it will hang when full. My largest bag smacks my knee, lol, lesson learned. I think it's going to become my beach bag.

Love the plastic bottom. Looking at crocheting a diaper bag and making each side with plastic in them probably would make it stronger and then sew them all together. I have a couple months to figure out the design!!

To figure out my yarn amount, I weigh my projects when I’m done. It gives me a good estimate and since the labels have approx weight it works. Just the way I found to be the best for me.

I bought a pack of plastic canvas and was thinking I’d use up my Hobby Lobby box of Sheepjes river/stone washed yarns with regular solid black cotton for the bottom. I gotta lay the bon bon out and try make ombré look on the main part of the bag.

Love this but still would like American Girl or Barbie doll clothes for Christmas presents
