🔥 Frequently Asked Questions:
Do you have a left handed version of this video? If you are left handed, you can convert ANY video on KZread yourself! Simply go to www.mirrorthevideo.com/ and follow the instructions to mirror flip any video to convert to left handed!
How much yarn will I need? This is a very tricky question to answer as there are so many variables! How much yarn you need will depend on which yarn you choose, the thickness of that yarn, your tension and how large you want your finished project to be. I suggest making a small sample first so you can gauge how much yarn you'll need. If making a crochet square, you can weigh your finished square to work out how much yarn it used!
How many squares do I need for a blanket? That all depends on the size of the square you are making and how big you want your finished blanket to be! I always advise making one square first then measuring the size of it. From there you can work out how many squares you will need to get the blanket size you want 😀
Do you have the written pattern? Yes! I have written patterns to accompany my video tutorials on my website here: www.hookedbyrobin.com The written pattern is generally released a week or so after the video tutorial to ensure there are no errors in the video itself and to make amendments in the written version if any are found. All the written patterns are FREE to access on my website
How can I print the pattern from your website? Do you have downloadable PDF's? Not at this time no. This may change in the future but for now, I only provide the written pattern directly on my website.
Can you remake this video so it is slower? If the video speed is too fast, you can slow it down! 😀 See this video on exactly how: • How to Adjust the Spee...
Why do you use American stitch terminology? I learnt using USA stitch terms, long before I even knew there was a difference between UK & US terminology! American terms are my "first language" so to speak. If you need a conversion chart, I have one here! www.hookedbyrobin.com/crochet...

Thank you so much for sharing how to avoid the seam in a solid granny square! You explained everything beautifully, and it helped me understand not only how to do it, but why to do what we do. It helps me remember better when I understand why. This is one of the best tutorials on making this granny square that I've seen😊❤

Hi Robin, what a great tip for solid granny squares. Eliminating the seam makes it so much nicer and prettier. But, in addition too, incorporating the invisible join with this technique would be quite informative and helpful.

@@HookedbyRobin I used corner markers and made a 10-inch solid granny, with much smaller corner holes, that I can donate to a group that makes donation blankets. I used a slip-stitch join, which worked well! Thanks, again.

🥰🤗
This is how i always do mine but i hate the look of starting chains so i always use (depending on what looks better with the yarn im using etc) i use a standing dc or stacked singles. If i need to really cover up the start then i sometimes make my first st the 2nd of the corner sts, so my last sts are a ch 2 n dc then join. You can then turn & sl st to the corner, turn n then start again on the same side

Great tutorial but wouldve love you to show how to change colours like in the pic.
Shouldn't you be able to just do a double crochet into that corner space instead of doing the chain 2? Then just follow it with the next double crochet. That's what I'm gonna try anyway. Thanx Robin awesome video. As are all your videos.
