How to crochet a hdc triangular shawl / wrap - crochet tutorial

Crochet tutorial for a hdc triangular wrap / shawl. Easy and quick project
This is very similar to the other triangular shawl tutorial.

The difference is to show you what you need to do for a half double crochet stitch as to a double crochet stitch in the other tutorial.
For this shawl I used:
4 balls lincraft ecuador yarn - wool/alpaca/acrylic blend (colour 'purple' in photo and 'ruby' in tutorial)
8mm hook
Worked up until ran out of yarn. You can make as long or as short as you wish.
Have fun and happy crocheting 💖
If you do make this shawl, please share your photos. I'd love to see how it turned out.

Exactly what I was looking for! Warm and easy ❤ edit: just made a small sample and discovered the only way I was able to get a true triangle and avoid the growing curved wings at the ends was to at the beginning of the row ch 2 then place one dc in that first stitch and the ch 2 counts as a stitch then move on to the next stitch and end with 2 not 3 dc in each row (begin and end with 2 instead of 3). I’m guessing you intended the wings (curving edges)? What does the end result look like with a completed shawl with your instructions laid out flat? Thanks!

I never took a photo of it flat and have since sold the garment. It did slightly curve at the ends. I love your suggestion of making it so the ends do not curve.
