Great pattern! What is the yarn weight used for this pattern? Did you use DK/Light Worsted yarn? Still new on crocheting. :D

I am very sorry but I do not remember the exact size. The best practice will be to measure the circumference of the child, or find a measurent chart online. Best of luck with your project❤

How come as my circle gets bigger it curls a little bit. ?

It is difficult to say exactly what this is due to. But this problem occurs most often if you have too many stitches in the last rounds. Or if you don't keep the same tension in the last rounds as in the first rounds of the hat. But don't worry about struggling a bit with your first attempts when you are a newbie. Try possibly to watch the video again and give it another try or two. Practice makes perfect😊❤

Could I use DK weight yarn with a 3mm hook and get the same result

Personally I think this design with the ruffled brim is best for little girls, but maybe you could decide to make the brim straight, then it would be great for boys aswell. Best of luck with your project😊

Hi😊 This is for a 3-6 month old baby, but head circumference varies of course, so maybe it will fit. But it also depends on yarn thickness and crochet tension.
