@@JabbagfxI dropped out of my digital design major just because my professor told us to use KZread for our assignments. Taste and Design can be acquired through archives and online resources, if you go to school for design make it something specific like animation (where your courses teaches you a program like blendr), marketing, etc. Skills are needed in design, photoshop can now be learned by everyone. @@MyBerriezDangle I find myself in kinda the same situation with a young teacher telling us to search our assignments on Pinterest instead of actually giving an education. Like, I'm paying an institution thousands just so that they tell me to do the same shit I've always done? I feel betrayed and kinda of scammed considering the amount of sacrifice and money that went into this semester. I feel like I'm just wasting my time and have considered a lot droping out.

@@fartmaster612Not for everyone ...never went to school for that ...and I could design ...doesn't take a rocket scientist. Going to school doesn't make u great graphic designer ... Is all about mind and creativity ..most don't have...

Nice tutorial! Love these vintage ads! One alternate way of creating the 3 column grid. View > Guides > New Guide Layout > Set the columns to 3, and then you can also set the gutter (space between columns) to be about 20-40px and that way you don't have to guess on the text blocks (you can also set the margins for the document up here). Hope it helps. ✌🏼
