Hey Jason! Thanks for such great clear communication and teaching skills in your videos! I designed a shirt, had a photo I took turned into a vector image; I ordered it, and the color resolution was not like the vector image I uploaded; Some of the shades were not as rich; Any tips on pixels or resolution specific numbers to get better print quality?? You can't print from canvs. Print from WORD or any software that prints.

I love how easy your videos are to understand. One question that I have is this. Some designers insist that in Canva, the design should be saved as a PDF Print (to get the 300dpi) and then the design opened in another app like Cloud Convert and converted there as a PNG since a PNG supports a transparent background. I am in need of PNG because I need the transparent background. My problem is that after converting the PDF to a PNG I don't know how to get the design to be transparent. I hope that makes sense. So to sum it up...what I have heard is Create design in Canva Save as PDF Print Import that PDF Print design to a file converter program Convert to a PNG but then what about a transparent background. I am so confused as a new designer. Thanks for any help that you can provide. I'm hope that I wasn't too confusing lol,

In order to export your designs with a transparent background to add to products, you need to have a Pro account. With the free version, it will download with the rectangle background.

Depends on the platform you’re uploading to. The Canva t-shirt templates are typically large enough, but you can increase the size before downloading if needed. If creating a custom template, I typically use 4500 x 5000 px

Hi Trichelle! Select the element, and look at the top toolbar to see what the font name is (before you start typing). Then you can just change it back if doesn’t assume the letters

I’ve only been able to select the DPI when creating PDFs. It would be great to have the option on other formats as well, but I typically just increase the template size before exporting

Make sure your Canva template size is at least 4000px and your design fills the template to the edges. If you have Canva Pro, you can increase the size during exporting

I used all the download selections you showed but my download has a checkered grey background

Check the recommended pixel size for the product your adding the design too, and make sure you export with at least that size. I typically use 4500 x 5000 for t-shirts

Canva sucks for this. the DPI is nearly impossible to achieve. all the downloading, using other software, then redownloading the again into yet another software to remove background. save the hassle and spend $21 a month on Illustrator. this is garbage quality

No you can export it ‘transparent’ by hitting the share button that way you can put it on any color T-shirt
