The International Maritime Organization (IMO) has set ambitious targets to reach net-zero Greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions by or around 2050. To drastically slash emissions, the industry will require new and complex technologies such as:

Greener power and propulsion solutions
Optimized hull and superstructure
Improved waste heat recovery and energy management
To successfully integrate these different technologies, the industry needs to rethink the entire shipbuilding lifecycle starting by the design phase.
