Creating works in order to sell them is the kiss of death for any artist. Paint what you want, if it sells great, if it doesn’t, still great.

I think what she tries to teach us is how to make sellable what you already love to paint :-)
Your family is so inclusive, friendly, respectful of each other. That makes it nicer to watch and listen. Thank you!

I love your videos they’ve been helping so much, Dimitra is a beautiful artist ✨
I truly believe that the ethos of Milan Art is incredibly valuable . I really struggle with discipline as I have CBD depression and sleep apnoea, but I still have this passionate flame burning inside to be a ‘successful’ artist. I have sold some art but I really want to go for it now I am 55
I've been and artist for 20 years. Love your concept. Never to old or experienced to learn from someone else. Thank you for all you do.
I love how relatable and transparent you guys are. Moving from AZ to GA is a big move! I moved from MA to FL recently. I love your energy and personalities. Thank you for the inspiration and helpful advice. I just started painting again and I am ready to do it full time. Thank you thank you. I appreciate the information.
I’m from Gallipolis, Ohio! ♥️♥️ you guys are such an inspiration and you’re actually made me realize what I’m truly meant to be, an artist! I never believed in myself before but now I do!

Great webinar, really helpful and inspiring so thanks a lot! Starting the Mastery very soon and really looking forward to that. X
Really amazing how mature your daughter is! and love you both's thought process and appreciation of art! Kudos!
I am from Denmark and I love color - sometimes very subtile yet vibrating color rhythms and tones - for me is like a deep song - and it Can be the whole theme of a painting both in abstract or in more magic expressionistic communing with experiences of joy and beauty and love of all kinds opening into mystery and multidimensionality of experience of life/ nature - 🎵💚🎶🐸🎵💜🎶🦄
Hello!! The algorithm brought me to your page and I’m happy it did. Ironically, my daughter and I are both artists like you but she has a BFA and I’m the artist who learned in HS and then picked up painting during the pandemic by watching you tube and my daughters guidance. Thanks for your information! Learning so much about being an artist. I still remember the first time someone called me that ❤😂
Thank you for the great tips. I also have a tip for you I arrived at recently. A good way to arrive at your style is to not use reference when you create art. Only use it later to fix any problems. By doing this I noticed I naturally tend to paint in a unique and consistent style and process. Sometimes I use reference for a quick line drawing and then put it away when working with other elements of art...

I want to thank the two of you for your knowledge and understanding of art. I just subscribed. Though these are your personal opinions from your school I still do appreciate them. I am grateful
Excellent! I’m an artist and belong to a local gallery… luckily my art sells but getting many helpful hints from your video.
i only found your channel a week ago i watch all the time ,i have been working at my creating art every day ,i started at 36 years old i am 64 now and never want to stop painting,i paint on paper or small canvases .im in a small apt ,i want to sell but because i dont have to i just do it for the passion God gives me ,art making brings me joy so i do it,i admire you are able to make money i am sure i could but all my time is doing the work,
The webinar title itself is encouraging and found this valuable. I saw Dimitra's art on another video and loved the vibrancy and strength of the her images! And....on aside, you look like her sister, not mother and your style is very cool :)
Best advises aver. I feel like these ladies are so unique in their teachings. If i could only afford they mastery profram i would join imidiatly.

All the successful artists I have met have put in many years at least 10 years to get to where they are now. And all have a great deal of knowledge many have masters degrees. Knowledge followed by research is key to making your art the most umique possible.
Me encanta susurra publicaciones son de inspiración!
Thank you so much.
Great video! Ty❤
Thank you for all the awesome info. I discovered you guys earlier this week. I stopped "art" around 25. I'm now 49 and have gotten back into it.

I'm also from GA, about an hr from Athens. I wanted to be an artist and veterinarian and went through lots of different positions from fast food to a home care agency and several things in between. Eventually I got a business degree and went for training to become a dog groomer. I make great money and have found a way to combine both art and taking care of animals without having to diagnose them. I would love to someday have a bigger space where I can sell some of my artwork and home decor alongside my salon. Your work is beautiful. Thank you for this video, even if I'm 2 yrs late seeing it lol
Very good explained. Really helpful and true. Thanks!
Thailand , here ,,, I love the work that you've done !
Thank you 🤗🤗🤗, very useful
I am so thankful for you both!! hopefully someday I can take your Masters class. VERY INSPIRING AND REAL.
I am officially in love with your art! Honestly, going through your different videos, there’s no a single piece that didn’t make me feel something ☺️
Thank you so much,I learned a lot watching your videos, for the tips & for the patience to all you wanted to learn. In my own basic painting method I only often used coffee & watercolor,I'm so happy it works. Probably after attending your free webinar I can make better & more art for my family & friends.

and this is off of all they’ve learned and seen on how to create a more “sellable” piece! my comment ^ is jus on art in general being unique - not talking about the best “marketable and sellable” // still, your own unique style can shift all these perspectives

You are succeeding because you are like your art- it is appealing and approachable, not out of reach. My art must be lacking this catch or hook. I am exploring your Milan School Mastery program and thank you for your help so fa already. I have a website and seem somewhat frozen putting it backup on artspan. I want to leave some of my successful traditional but also want to master the mystery of abstraction. You have already helped me just tonight in seeing where I need to focus. Dmitra’s comment on finding depth hit home, and I would love to travel there more. In RI landscape painters are a dime a dozen, but few seem to gain depth in abstract, and I think I have leaning towards that. Thank you. Going on too long! I don’t want to put my name here yet, but have conversed over passwords with you a couple times, if that hints at all
I learned a lot from this video , thank you so much 🥰

This is amazing information! Thank you for perspective! I’ve been selling my art on cards and book marks as well as some framed art but it’s not flying off the shelves. Seems business owners are happy to take it into their stores but they only sell at a all pace. I think I know where my art journey should take me, now.
love your art Arizona
So much rich, good advice here!
Mom and daughter.. you look like sisters ❤️🥰
I admire your work!!! You’re both sooo talented!!! if I ever get the money, I’m going to definitely take your course because that will just be really amazing ! ❤❤❤ thank you for showing this. You have no idea what a difference you make to people like me that’s been through severe trauma, loss, PTSD. and when I paint, even though I don’t have any good paints, and I’m not that great gives me peace of mind losing a child at 19 and not understanding why she did but she did nearly destroyed me and then I lost my mom right after that and a couple months later my godfather who raised me shot and took his life too! This is truly meaningful to see beautiful being gone in my room, but I can for free. I guess just because I need a purpose. I need peace of mind and you guys offer that with your beautiful work and your kind words I think you guys are the best
Hello From Bangkok, Thailand nice to learn from you.
Nice and very attrctive
56:00 You guys provide TERRIFIC advice simply by giving very reasonable down to earth suggestions. You can really tell you're both professionals who make a living from their craft. Thanks for the tips!
Recently found yor channel, love it! Greetings from Venezuela
I live in Atlanta, and yes, this has been an unusually rainy summer.
You say doom and gloom doesn't sell but then why is it that artists like Van Gogh, Frida Kahlo, and Edvard Munch, who create emotionally charged art, continue to captivate us? There's a market for art that evokes strong emotions, and this emotional connection plays a significant role in selling art in general. Exploring this topic in a video would be valuable. Personally, I'm drawn to art that makes me feel deeply, and my goal is to create artwork that elicits those same powerful emotions in others. I don't like happy art (happy music etc), and there has to be a market for this kind if art surely? Why is taylor swift the most sellable musician of her time? Because she is a great STORYTELLER who can connect with others using her personal experiences as a catalyst for her creations. There has to be a part that's missed within this surely?
Thank you, I’m trying to make sellable pieces of art for a fundraiser for the senior community I live to develop more art opportunities for the residents, I take the lead in the art program.
As someone who likes brighg colours. I can say some of the paintings you said see wrong eherr fantastic paintings. But i respect the idea of understanding tones and balance and how that can effect the painting.
Hi listening fro the Caribbean .
Would love to see something similar around sculpture
I think that drawing and painting subject matter of what everybody likes is the trick and that your style has a signature.
This is one of the best videos I have seen since a long long time….Don’t know how it just showed up and I felt re-energised. Thank you for this effort and sharing valuable tips.❤❤ Do you also paint acrylics.
It's hard to know what to say except thank you. Thank you. Thank you. 🙏

This may sound "old school," but... after about an hour of criticism of judging art in the "odd" world of what is and is not sellable... some of us forget, perhaps importantly, 🤷♂️... that "Art" was once a place free from judgment, a place of free expression, a place of celebration even... Free of "price tags..."$$ (...Foolishly laughs at self, scratches head, looks down, sighs...) ha.
I agree most of the points and tips, but I disagree about you said about proper Art Education, it’s disrespectful... I’m an art lecturer and I have no issues/problems with self thought artist even though they said, getting a proper art education is such a waste of money...
You Guys was in AZ!! I’m in AZ but I just found your videos!
Welcome to GA!! Lol. It usually doesn't rain this much. lol this year has been completely Weird!!
I like very much your Way of showing and explaining what you find excellent and sellable and looking modern …..that made me refllect on my preferences and what I am attracted to - I did agree with you most of the time - but not all the time - ❤ 😄🙃
Thank you! I just now see your video. Unfortunately it looks like it was three years ago? I'm looking for you now.

This is so interesting, thank you! I'd love to know the names of the artists you have as examples here so I can look them up. I particularly like the red landscape, and the last picture you showed of the landscape with the hill going off to the distance (the one on the right) - can anyone tell me who they're by? Thank you!
Watching in Atlanta
What I got here is make natural things abstract without losing it natural Vibe, Don't be specific with faces and also paint hope not sadnesses.
What made you move? I live in Arizona and just really started watching your videos. I’m originally from NY where I studied sculpture. I started painting at age 14. But find your work helpful
I wish you would compare paintings on the left and right without your video image in the corner of the left painting so we can compare both paintings as a whole.
I heard emotion sells before but hope sells is the first time and I like that. Hope sells.
This is about design thinking not art.
Alot of good info. but I have such a hard time beleaving that folks that never drawn before have the passion to suddenly be able to be good enough to sell any amount of art.

They don't draw, they trace other people's photos and inages that have been digitally cut and pasted into a collage. Then they use that as the reference. That is why they say it is so easy.
I'm curios if you found a particular price point that worked best for the originals and prints
