How to CREATE mini mixed media paintings and explore new techniques
Sometimes we need to make our own inspiration to carry us through our art. In this video I make mixed media abstract squares to gather marks and ideas for my paintings. It's better to slow down and marinate in this part than rush to the finish with a painting!

Love when KZread decides to include new-to-me artists in my feed. Lovely work. Glad to be a new subscriber.
Great exercise! I loved this. Thank you
It is fun to watch another artist have fun! Your mindful decisions about how and where to place your marks is interesting. Free handed but thoughtful. Fun beautiful Art. TFS.
This was very interesting Lauren. I like how all the squares actually came together at the end to make a cohesive piece even if that wasn't your intention! I think I will try this for times when I am stuck for inspiration to give me something original to spark off more ideas. Thank you for sharing. 😊
Oh I love every single square of it! Yes don’t cut it up. It is so amazing as a whole.

I haven’t! I love it the way it is. Sitting on a table until I find a wall to stick it on. I actually want to do it again. It’s a really fun exercise ❤️
