With the help of lead expert Matt Timby from Timby Roofing, Midland Lead made a short video to demonstrate how to create lead flashings around a chimney (including step flashing and a front apron).

That looks very professional
Clean
Nice. Is it same for a ceramic roof? Thank you!
I have watched this about 6 or 7 times
Perfect
Wow..Beautiful work! Puts most American roofers to shame.
Lead is such a wonderful material for flashing.

In a little while environmental extremists will be clamoring for all lead to be removed from roofs because lead ions are contaminating the ground water.
Why only cement the sides why not lead mate them too ??
Try chasing out a old solid joint with a plugging chizzle lol
Waters gonna get through them flashing no problem
I appreciate you’re trying to sell Patination Oil but I wouldn’t bother. Only time I’ve ever used it is above a conservatory roof to stop a white stain on glass. Other than that I’ve never seen the point ?

On a new roof can look a bit bad as you will get stain marks down the roof

midland lead is cast and is so horrible to use. you forgot the saddle at the top, and if you are using a 75mm water line you should use 175mm lead. so many school boy errors here .
