Wow... Thank you Dareus!!! It's a true pleasure to create videos on ATS & ETS2... especially ones that you enjoy!!

My buddy just got got me this game. I used to be a trucker and was amazed how close it is to driving and handling. I play it in VR so it takes it to a different level. We just started to try a convoy last night and had some issue but your video helped solve those issues.

Hey! I have a question, do you need to finish existing deliveries to use convoy or no?

do I have to have a different profile or can I play it on my regular profile great video

Do I need to finish a delivery to get that convoy button? Cause I’m rn currently in a delivery.

Am I correct in assuming that you could set up a private convoy session with a gibberish password and then select no traffic, effectively allowing you to just play the regular solo game but with no traffic? I need to test that out. Although I'm sure there are other ways to turn traffic off.

What if you're in a convoy session with a random player and he closes the session. Say it was a long trip. Do you lose all progress on that load as if you had never taken the job?

Does Convoy require a mod? I have no Convoy button in the bottom row, and even some other buttons are missing.

When i try to join a random convoy, the "join" button is not clickable. What could the issue be?

Hey so i my friend joined my online session but he cant copy my job. Weve botb got the same trailer

my son cant find sessions that i host or vise versa, nothing shows up. We both have same version game, no mods and a stable internet connection, this is really confusing. Yes we are typing the session name correctly

If i create convoy my friends dont see it if they create convoy i cant see it please help ( we got same version,same mod,same dlc ,...)😢

Don't search using session name but with session search ID...Where do you find the session Search ID? 1. Host a Convoy 2.Open the menu for the session you hosted 3. The session search ID will be on the top left corner of that menu

How do i even get to the first screen you are on? the tutorial starts on like step 3... the rest is helpful

For those failing to play with friends 1. Open the menu of the convoy created 2. On the top left side of that menu is the session search ID use that one instead of the session name 3. The ID ends with /101, only share the numbers before that with your friends and they must use that to search for the session 4. Enjoy

I believe that you can't, at least in same easy way that player that have purchased the game.

I Cant do it I downloaded the game from steam unlocked

I like to join other people in this feature as long they don’t add me that’s the main thing only like to join peoples convoys and have fun

Hi! Me and my friend are facing a very confusing issue. Both of us have the official game, yet when either of us create a convoy neither of us can see them. We are having tremendous trouble just trying to join each other's sessions and it's very frustrating! Is there not a way we can simply just invite each other to a session? Thank you!

Did you type in the session name exactly with the uppercase _+$)9 or whatever your friend put in?

@@davidbull6440 it would turn out that i had my steam activity hidden, so you and your friend should both check if your steam activity is set to online

so what happen if i make a convoy session, my friend start a job, but when i try to join in the convoy panel it says "unknown delivery" and i cant get in his ride

If your friend starts a job that is a mod, and you don't have that mod.... then it is possible to have that message. The job could also be one of a specific DLC (heavy cargo, etc...) that you may not have. Other than that.... I honestly don't know what else could be causing the issue. Hopefully this helps.

No. American Truck Simulator (ATS) and Euro Truck Simulator 2 (ETS2) are NOT cross compatible. You must own the same game as your friend to play in multiplayer/convoy mode.

What do I do if I need a unknown dlc? Because I need a dlc to join a convoy

Unknown DLC??? The list of required dlc's should appear when you select a convoy.

@@PrimeSimulation yeah I needed to unsubcribe the mods in order to re- join again, I suggest you do a video abt that, maybe a lot of people have the same problem, who knows..

Hi The is someone is blocked in my convoy session. How can I unblock him?

If you are the admin (the person who created the convoy session), you should be able to unblock them in the "convoy management" window at the top of the menu screen in-game.

Can you take a different job than what the convoy is doing? Say that my brother and I just wanna hang out, but not do the same job.

Yep!!! You can select a different job from the freight/cargo market.... often you can find jobs that go to the same location.

My Convays don’t show someone help me

I see my name when I hit push to talk. No can hear me several different convoys. On discord friends can hear me just fine. How could this be?

Check if ATS/ETS2 is selecting a specific microphone/device, and check our default microphone setting on your computer. It may not be using the proper audio device.

If latency is high like 999 ms will it make convoy inaccessible? Or is there some other explanation? I tried with a friend and we could not join convoys and we are at same region. Error message was useless.

That is possible. I've never had that issue yet, but the servers may not like convoy sessions with high latency. Unfortunately SCS Software has not clarified the specifics about the effects high latency on convoy multiplayer.

Not as of now (Jan. 2023). SCS Software plans to increase the number in the future - presumably when they update their game engine which will bring performance and graphical improvements! The game engine update is aimed to release sometime in 2023.

What do you mean.... no available convoys to join, or no jobs? Make sure your game is up-to-date and try removing all mods from the profile. See if it's a case of a broken mod.

You can quick travel around the map in Convoys. You then select a job from the Freight or Cargo market, and the others in the convoy can choose to take the same job, or find a similar job. For example.... if you are always in California and don't travel to other states.... you are most likely going to be in one small area. If you quick travel to Wyoming (if you have the dlc) you can choose long or short jobs in a different area. Keep in mind, if at the end of your convoy session you always select the "revert/restore progress" button, you will be reset to the area you started.... no matter the distance & location you ended up in the convoy. Hopefully this helps.

so what could be a problem if you don't see any sessions online?

Well... the obvious answer would be to make sure you are connected to the internet, but it could also be the fact that no one in your region is hosting a convoy. Try searching for a popular word in a convoy name... (convoy, logistic, ats, etc...). Hopefully something will show up!

1. Check your internet connection. 2. Make sure your game is updated to the latest version, as the incompatibility would cause issues. 3. Restart your game and/or PC. 4. There is a possibility that no public convoys are active in your region. Hopefully that helps.

Idk why but I wanted to play with friends and my friends dont have the convoy button in their menu , anyone here who can help me ?

Ok... strange. If your internet is not stable, that could be the issue. The session could be full, or the host has banned everyone else from the session (not likely... but still possible). Other than that.... could have been a small glitch, and it may be a one time issue.

OK, everyone has to have the same mod's in the same order, and the Mod Manager in the game allow's one to do just that. But then there's the issue of one of the three available setting area's one has when setting up their play styles. One being the controller, one being various configuration of key board and mouse along with the use or non-use of a controller and or wheel. And the third, which effect's the way one choose's by turning on and or adjusting various action's envolved in playing. I mean, some like the idea of having fines, and such thing's as an exorbitable amount of rain. I hate both!

If the convoy you are thinking of is being escorted by two smaller vehicles that (mostly) clear the path for you, that is Special Transport.
