If the new install wont even work, its possible that the eMMC drive on your motherboard is bad. It may need to be replaced :(

Hey jamin sir,i did everything you said but once i get to "creating recovery image" it doesn't start the download ,why? I'm using a galaxy Chromebook 2 360 and the display went blank after a system update on the safe mode I've been using developer mode and I'm not really liking it...any help?

ive got a 128gb usb but the recovery tool only recognizes 3.6gb? ive formatted it twice. restarted my browser and computer but still no solution

this happened to me too but i fixed it by installing and launching the extension on chrome instead of my usual browser opera gx

I have been trying this for days no now. every time I try it kills my USB stick, please advise what is the issue.

What do you mean, it kills your USB? Have you tried more than one USB to create the install media?

When I opened the extension and clicked "get started" it did nothing, no matter what I tried. By accident, I "right clicked" on the extension up at the top, instead of opening it, to the right of where you type your URL/web address, and a window opened up on the left of my screen and it allowed me to click "get started", enter my model and make the thumb drive, unreal!! NOTHING ELSE WORKED!! I couldn't open that extension normally, it just played dead once I hit get started; only what I found by accident worked... GOOD LUCK - This extension has a 2.3 out of 5 rating, it's garbage and wasted my entire day...

What if my ssd is completely wipe out and need to reinstall Chrome OS? ANY HELP WOULD BE APPRECIATE

@@PC_Monkey I created with the same process and then my pen drive is not detecting in other pcs and when I put it into my chromebook after doing all that steps it shows Chrome OS not installed on USB. Do I need to perform any further step?
