    To create advanced effects like this you need a program that works with Vegas like the New Blue Titler Ex or New Blue Titler Pro. Titler EX comes with Movie Studio Platinum 12 Suite Titler Pro 1.0 comes with Vegas Pro 12 You can buy/try Titler Pro 2.0 from NewBlueFx.

You know how you can move to a empty space under a video track, right click then click add video track above all i guess this is the one thing i need, thanks, Jason

    Thanks for making this video. It has helped me alot. However, my challenge is this. I made a slide using power point. It has a white background. I use it at least 10 times throughout my video. It is too small though. It doesn't fill the screen. I want to make a white background and have my slide sit on top (in front) so you can see my content. Is this possible or do I need to have done it on a green screen? Please show me how to do it if it's possible. Thanks so very much!

    Is there much difference in using either track motion of event pan and crop to size the lower third?

  • @MovieStudioZen

    @MovieStudioZen

    8 жыл бұрын

    Understanding the difference between Track Motion and Event Pan/Crop will normally give most people a brain aneurysm. I know it did that to me when I started learning. Learners often assume they a do the same thing, but they don't. Only practical use of both tools can teach you that. I suspect if I redid this tutorial today, I could teach it more simply. I did do a new tutorial a few months ago, where I used a combination of both tools. Read and watch this here: www.moviestudiozen.com/free-tutorials/sony-vegas-pro/546-multi-screen-video-fx-sony-vegas-pro Track Motion is like sitting in front of your TV screen at home and staring straight ahead (no head movement), and having a slave pick up the TV and move side to side or closer/further back. Event Pan/Crop is like sitting in front of your TV screen and moving your head/eyes from side to side and up/down and also to use a magnifying glass, but the TV always stays stationary and never moves, unless you use a combination of Track Motion as well.

    Movie Studio 13 and your explanation is exactly what I am needing. Trying to make a nice Text box background (PiP), Text, and another picture overlayed on the video to cover chat box. I record gameplay for how to videos. I have to say this software is much better than Windows Movie Maker but the learning curve has been decently steep for the first day or so. Thanks for your quick response!

    Great info and it works in 14 Platinum! Is there a way to save the creation and animation of a lower third show it can be used again? Don't want to reinvent the wheel every time I need to repeat it :)

    You can open up a 2nd instance of Movie Studio and then "Copy & Paste" events from one timeline into the other. Boot up MS a second time, so you see TWO tabs on your Windows taskbar. Load your saved project. Then copy & paste from one project into the other.
