Wow. That's amazing! So clear explanation for this not so easy visualization. Thank you!
The detailed explanation is really good. This is a perfect video. thank you
Brilliant and clear and concise explanations!
Awsome, that was intensive workaround, even though I considered this as a hack, but it show me what tableau can achieve.

Thank you so much!
Great video! I tend to prefer the static version using multi-layer sunburst, but I guess it's a preference thing.

I usually prefer interactivity, which is what makes Tableau so powerful, indeed it's a matter of preference :)
Awesome video with clear steps! I ran into a problem with my implementation that I am hoping you have a solution for. I have just gotten to the step of creating the dynamic labels, and they work great. In my dataset, I have 'Brand' and 'Style' where each Brand has one or more styles (just like how each Category has multiple Sub-Categories in your video). For the brands that have several styles, the labels pop up perfectly. However, for the brands that only have one style, no label pops up at all and I cannot figure out why they wouldn't or how to get them to appear. Any advice?
I am at the create dynamic labels section and I am using COUNT instead of SUM (that is the most appropriate for the data I am using). However, it will not produce a null, it shows a zero for all false statement for the subcategory filter. Is there a way around this?
Such a great video, thank you so much. I do have a small problem after I applied the "dynamic" calculations the chart display the values for the selected sub-categories but it also shows '0' for the other subcategories even thought they are greyed out. I am hoping you might know a way to display the values for the selected subcategory only. Again great video and thank you.

coined a workaround - create another calculated field that uses the 'Dynamic subcategory sales label" and use the logic as If Dynamic subcategory sales label >0 THEN Dynamic subcategory sales label ELSE Null and drag that to the label and it will show only values greater than 0
It's wonderful I hope next video will be how to create interactive dashboard

Hi Sri, thank you for your suggestion! Anything in particular you would like to see?
The category pie chart moves when we have more than 4 categories. I have 4 categories and each category has 3-5 sub categories. Now when selecting the category that has more than 50% split, both the category and subcategory donut charts appear aligned However, when I select a category that is like 9% then category donut shows the angle on right side let's say while the subcategory shows the angle in the Centre. They are not aligned. Any idea how I can fix it.

Hi Gomathi, it's a bit hard for me to understand it without seeing the dashboard unfortunately. One thing I can say in general is make sure you don't have negative amounts in your measure, or that will cause some weird reaction in the pie :)
Hi I tried this chart with more subcategories. However due to many subcategories all labels r not showing also tool tip is not working because category container is blocking subcategories tool tip. Can u please let me know how to show subcategories tool tip on hoover. Thank you
