What a fun project piece and a heck of a nice guy.... but as myself a professional painter who started in realistic painting and then moved over to creating abstract paintings too.... I will state honestly that a quality abstract painting takes a heck of a lot of thought and time to get it where it looks and feels right. I also kept wanting to tell him, "rule of thirds", lol.

Wutsinyourcup you can use a blown up ziplock bag or a freezer bag to get a similar effect on a smaller canvas. You don’t press as hard but it moves a little on the paint. Check acrylic pouring with Fiona on KZread. She has technique and makes gorgeous 3 -D flowers that way.

What is art and what is craft. For me this is a craft He knows what he is doing from the start. No surprises, no challenge And also is abstract an idea? Or is abstraction the absence on an idea? There is nothing abstract in a quote!

true this a craft not a art piece. And he cleary doesn t know what art is and what abstract art is. This is nice as a graphic poster with a quote on it. Still nice as signmaking crafting. The title is "How to Create Abstract Art", which is a pretty ambitious already. But the result just isn't compelling or the least bit interesting. Like others have already stated, covering all that paint with white ruined it. I thought he was going to dab it with a plastic bag or newspaper, like spray paint artists do. Nope, just covered it all up with white.

First half ,with thoughtful sprinkle of colours , took the shape of a piece of art .Later, it took the shape of a Poster .(Personal feeling of a non artist ).It could be made more easily , particularly when the artist did not have to paint the letters. After the works with the roller pin, there remained only one part - drying the painting .(But the artist is to be thanked for displaying his technique).

All the white made me so sad because it was so beautiful before :( he should have started with the white spray paint, then the letters and lastly the paint smearing. So in the end the letters would be just white and all the beautiful color would still be seen. You are so talented and I love your work, and thank you for the video! I loved the video.. Its actually given me confindence to try something which i was a bit puzzled about.. Theres alot of good comments on here and also bad, but to me he achieved his goal of showing a simple idea which is in fact really effective, although i do agree with the white comments, i liked the colour more...Someone says down in the comments, " Whats the intention " , well he told you..He was using up old colours he had lying around, haha.. Surely thats what Art is about, it creates a stimulous which in turn makes us comment and pass judgement, whether good or bad..It creates conversation and provokes our thoughts and feelings, and im pretty sure he has achived this by looking at the comments he has recieved.. Well done and keep up the good work.

The colors were great together and interesting line with the plastic. I wish he would have just spray painted the lettering area fading into the main color of piece, leaving a lot more of the original color.
