I love the idea of assigning personalities to items for cohesion.

I don’t know what made the algorithm recommend this video to me but I’m glad it did. This concept of assigning “personality” is incredibly interesting. I think it’s genius. It earned a like & subscribe 😂

Presented so well, with great representative photos. I like the point of “real” materials wear in, vs. wear out.

I appreciate your ability to be both articulate and accessible to the average person just wanting to elevate their own space. Well done! And you are the only one who can tell that you were burned out lol. Brava!

This is mind-blowing genius on display. Wow.

We have a real leather love seat that I just cannot toss or replace. It’s burgundy. I could either go…”UGH!” Or I could say…Oooo…Ralph Lauren! I choose the latter! Love what you have….make it work.

How are you so young AND SO SMART!!!! First time watching your channel and already learned so much. You were speaking to us...not at us. It was like a lovely conversation with "ah hah" moments of clarity. I had to stop mid video and go move a lamp (which I love) to a different room where it made much more sense being with its other personality pieces. I realized I couldn't see past how much I adored this lamp with the fact that was out of place. Thank you. Its been months of "what the heck is wrong here"?

Oooh, I have that bistro table. It sits between two wing back chairs. I actually do have it paired with a rustic coffee table. I like the juxtaposition of masculine and feminine. Stone walls with crystal chandeliers, marble surfaces and rustic wood. I like the tension.

While editing the video I caved and bought myself one because I just love it! Pairing it with wing back chairs probably looks so good! And hey, some times it just works 🤷🏻‍♀️ contrast can look so great when it’s intentional and thoughtful.

Yes, I agree, I love how she explains design based on the personalities, and I think it's a great starting point if you are just stuck on how to decorate a space. But, the most amazing spaces for me are the one with the juxtaposition as you said. It's like a great dinner party, mixing and matching personalities makes everything more interesting.

You present your ideas and thoughts so well … like your comparisons and examples. You are a natural!!!

My mom is like this! Something that helps her keep her things organized but visible is just corralling items onto trays, in dishes or in cups/containers. These items can be aesthetically pleasing (you don't have to use ugly plastic ones) and serve the function of consolidating items that you need to have visible but would otherwise be all over the place. Do what works best for the way your brain works!

I'm an artist and I completley understand the idea of composition and keeping the eye moving by repeating lines, contrasts, energy etc.... throughout a painting. I just can't seem to do it in a 3D space. 😢 This has been helpful to me to understand where Ive been going wrong.
