In the quiz I'm making the same answer sometimes have more than a name. For exemple: Fernando Pimenta and Emanuel Silva are correct in the same answer and I want people can write only Pimenta and show the two names. At that moment I only can put one name with the '/', or the two, but only acepting if I wrote Silva. How to solve my problem?

I tried to start a quiz in Sporcle on my phone, but it was really complicated, I need to use my computer. I want to create a quiz where we need to guess the name of something in the image that appears on screen, but I'm not sure what is its category. Is this really the Sporcle community that also has a KZread channel?

i posted the quiz but the questions didn't show up they are just supposed to magically guess the answer without the question

How do I make a quiz with multiple columns of answers? For example, I want to make a quiz of vocab words in 4 different languages besides English. So I want the hint to be the English word and then the answers to be the same word in each of the different languages. I tried looking it up and found out about the "Group answers with same hint" option, which I did, but my data table still has only one answer column. I'm not sure what to do on the data table.

To make a quiz like that, you do need the "Group Answers with the Same Hint" option enabled. In the data tab, then you'd repeat the same hint multiple times, depending on how many different languages you're using. You could use the column on the right to let people know which languages you're looking for. Then the answers would be in the answer column. For example: Blue | Azul | Spanish Blue | Bleu | French Blue | Blau | German Blue | Blu | Italian

When I put one digit answers into the answer column, and then enter the one digit answer when I am testing the quiz it doesn't say I am correct. Do you know how to fix this or what I can do.

While editing the quiz, go to the Options tab and check 'Accept Single Character Answers'. Then press save and you should be good to go!

Hi Sridevi--we have a feature called "stopwatch mode" for exactly this. Before you start a game that you'd like the timer disabled for, click the dropdown near the timer and select "Stopwatch" to enter stopwatch mode. In this mode, the timer counts up instead of ticking down to 0. You won't be able to earn badges or compete in challenges in this mode, but it can be nice for a more relaxing quiz experience. Game icons are assigned by Sporcle moderators prior to the publish of a quiz--it's not currently possible to set a game image for your own quiz.

There's no way to hide the extra information column until the quiz is entirely finished, but there is an option to hide it until the correct answer is guessed. If you select the 'Hide 3rd Column until answered' checkbox in the 'Options' tab, then anything that's in the Extra Info tab will only appear after the answer is guessed. To get your different hints sorted into separate groups, just put the name of the category in the first column, then the answer in the second column. Then click the "Group Answers with the Same Hint" box in the Style tab. That way, your answers should be grouped. For example, with the vertical lines representing different columns in the Data tab-- |X | A | | |X | B | | |X | C | | |Y | D | | |Y | E | | That would get "X" and "Y" to appear as separate columns in the quiz, with 'A', 'B', and 'C' as answers appearing in the 'X' column, and 'D' and 'E' appearing in the 'Y' column. In the 'Data' tab, enter the incorrect answer like a normal option into the 'Answer' column, but in the 'Extra Info' column, type in "ee". Any answer with "ee" in the extra info column will be regarded as an incorrect answer.

If you're worried because your quiz says "not verified by Sporcle", don't be--that's completely normal and most quizzes are like this, even good ones with plenty of plays. To get "verified" a quiz has to get published to the front page. Every day a few of the best quizzes are chosen and published to the front page. There's really no way to make it happen other than to make high-quality quizzes, then wait and hope. If you're intent on getting to the front page, two great tips are to make sure your quiz ideas are unique (ie searching for similar quizzes to make sure yours isn't a duplicate) and to get in touch with the Curator for the subcategory of your contribution to see if they have any recommendations for your quiz.

I think either the Classic (kzread.info/dash/bejne/q2uh27eJqavaZ6w.html) or Clickable (kzread.info/dash/bejne/pZyWqrVrpaSdhrA.html) Grouped Answer formats are what you're referring to. If you had something else in mind, send us an example quiz and we can help you out.

Hi! You can make a quiz legend by adding text to the "More Info" (AKA "How To Play") field in the Advanced tab of the quiz edit tools.

In the Data tab, put the individual category headers in the first column--for your example quiz, that'd be the different season years. In the third column, place the individual row descriptors--for this one, "TW", "RV", "IV", "IV", etc. Then the middle column holds the answers--in this case, the names of the players. So the first four rows would look like: |1999/2000 | Oliver Reck | TW |1999/2000 | Tomasz Waldoch | RV |1999/2000 | Olaf Thon | IV |1999/2000 | Yves Eigenrauch | IV As long as every row is distinct, there shouldn't be any issues. Also go to the style tab and then select the number of columns you want where it says "Group answers with same hint". Had a hard time finding that.

Doesn't work. Everytime I click on "Create a new Sporcle Quiz" it just sends me back to the Dashboard

The only thing you need to do is verify your email address. When you signed up, we should have sent you a verification email with a link to click to verify your address. If you can find that email and click the link, your account will be verified. 'Flags of Africa' is a Picture Box quiz--as of right now, only admins are able to create picture box quizzes.
