Very good Video, I followed it and managed to have my site to multi site. Important to have a Note that after following the above procedure the wordpress site or dashboard may not appear . It may show page now found, This was in my case as DNS propogation took some hours. I had to further create a subdomain in cpanel first then create a new site in wordpress . Then wait for DNS to propagate.

Is that what this error means? websitedemo1.candupix.com’s server IP address could not be found. ran report & it said your dns server might be unavailable.

Insted of using a FTP software you can you use a WP plugin called WP File Manager to edit de wp-config.php.

It's often with vulnerable code, so it's not quite recommended to use it. Better manipulate the files either through the file manage of the server or via FTP

Thanks for the video. A couple of weeks ago, I added a subdomain to my website. Activating a Multisite will integrate automatically the subdomain to the main site? Do I still need to buy a SSL certificate for each subdomain, or the multisite option allows me to use a same certificate to the whole thing?

Holy cow, 2 minutes in and still haven't gotten to the point.

You missed the most critical part in creating Multiple Sites. You will first need to configure your Subdomain in order for it to function properly.

Great tutorial, really helped me out! However, it is missing the subdomain configuration part of the process. Create a subdmain and point it to the exact same directory that the main site is in. Also, create a A record for the subdomain in your DNS settings if your domain is hosted elsewhere.

@@jessewatanga2762 When you create a multisite, you will need to create subdomains for each website under the multisite setup. If you're using cPanel hosting, you need to create the subdomains first (as subdirectories) for each of the websites you are creating.

Hi there, could you please explain how content could be duplicated automatically to subdomains or to ccTLD domains? The theme and the plugins are available on all domains but the created pages on main domain are not duplicated. Plugins are available for this purpose but unfortunately all of them are outdated. When a user registers on a multisite admin, they'd have chance to choose whether to be a simple user or a subsite owner

FYI the code snippet i your notes comes across with ` rather than ' and throws a php error.

I managed to setup Multiple Sites on my domain successfully, but sites added to it just do not seem to works. All Network Activated Theme / Plugin is not showing up on the network sites. Do you have any idea how to get the network sites to work with the Main site?

I have problems with a few plugins in the multisite, one of them I deleted, the other one does not let me in to the dashboard unless I deactivate it in the backend (and I don't see a way to set up the plugin for a multisite) and a few other installed plugins don't work either on a multisite. Could you please make another video about how to change this multisite to once again a normal single site? I would like to have this possibility, when I don't get along with the plugins. Thank you. P. D. Done. I just uploaded the two original wp-config and .htaccess files. Maybe I'll try it once again, but I have to be better prepared for other issues which are different to handle on a multisite website than on a single site, as I saw.

Some plugins don't work with multisites, in some cases due to the nature of their functionality. Depending on what you may need for your business, you may require different solution.

yes, but they would be under the same domain name

So, I attempted this, but the subdomain isn't found. Does not the 'subdomain' need to be created in DNS as well? Just creating a subdomain that points to a URL doesn't mean it exists on the network. The DNS would need to be updated to reflect that I would think.
