Before starting: prepare a piece of paper, a pencil, some scissors, and your kit. (If you don’t have a kit, grab your wire, icord and a yarn needle).

@@_ohhellojoy_ may I ask whether you make your own i cord? I can find similar to buy but it’s always the multistranded sweatshirt sort 😢 So I’m not sure where to get it!

@@jmarshal you can knit your own one using a french knitting machine (a few options on amazon but don't go with the cheapest one it's crap). Or you can buy some ready to use on my etsy shop. I have 40 colours. www.etsy.com/shop/kindofjoy

You will need to attach the different colour bay using a simple knot I guess (never try yet). :)

How do you thread so quickly, mine gets caught so easily and i have a hard time threading it

Same! And my wire keeps getting kinks in it so it never looks nice and neat like I see everyone else’s
At the end you can leave it long until you know for sure how much you need, then just unravel

Or take some yarn and go around the letters beforehand. That way, you only knit what you need.

got my from a wholesale supplier but I saw some in dollar shop (dollars store and king dollar in Australia). I guess DIY shop might have some. I also sell DIY KIT that includes wire, icord and yarn needle on my etsy shop www.etsy.com/shop/kindofjoy

2mm but 3mm is stronger (but harder to shape)
