You are my favorite decorator! I have a black & white staircase. Black banister and railing with white spokes and black stairs with white risers. I wanted to do garland under the railing so we can still use the railing so thanks for these great ideas! Happy holidays to you and everyone reading this comment. Let the decorating begin!!!

I live in a condo so no staircase but I do have a big long dinning table and I apply that method, a long garland with white lights, picks with red berries, tiny white flowers, a big vase with magnolia leaves ( love them ) and my central or focal point are Swedish gnomes, I have a tiny family of tree, mom, dad and kid, they always make smile when in the morning I come down my hallway and see that family surrounded by lights, red berries and tons of green...waiting and dying to see more videos, it's going to look amazing as always...thanks, you sound tired and I know that that is a lot of work, stairs are difficult...stay well, we do love your work.

I love the long pinecones, never seen them before.

I know I have said it before, but this years these has been the best! Beautiful and classical, breathtaking. We have a small stair case, always unsure how to decorate it..

We have a beautiful wooden staircase in our 115 year old home, and I have always had a simple green garland with burgundy ball ornaments and beautiful burgundy ribbons. I have the same concerns of being able to access the hand rail for safety. It has always been decorated simply but seeing this makes me want to zhuzh it up! Love your videos! You always get my creative juices flowing.

U are such in ur zone when it comes to staircase garland. I do not have one in mine but my mother in laws house does and we always decorate it however seeing ur arches from last year gave me a great idea for my entrace into my kitchen from the family room so thankyou

I have a staircase. Every year I say I am going scale down my Christmas decorating efforts and then when the time comes, I am like you, and spend two hours decorating the staircase, and two hours decorating tree(s) and two hours adorning other areas and fixtures, etc….. . I often love the feel, look and result, but throughout the whole process, I ask myself why do I spend so many hours/days/weeks decorating and cleaning for just one day? It’s a lot of work! I have a stairway with a railing and I love to decorate it. Just as others have said before me, there are years when it's hard to get into the mood for decorating; thank God we have you Rebecca. This year I took more time and removed anything where I put my decorations and wow, you were right, what a difference. I don't think it's all going to go back after the 12 Days of Christmas are over either.

I don’t have a railing on my staircase so I’m getting jealous but inspired to figure it out anyways! Love the natural look I’m doing natural and adding in succulents this year for fun. I’m getting ready to share the video on it this weekend and can’t wait to hear what people think of it.

I have three levels of this New Orleans style wrought iron and marble staircase with each floor having the rises broken up in three sections with two landings. Thank God we have an entire in our loft......great space...funky as can be....it is our first Christmas here .......as we moved rom a pre war highrise. So I stand and stare.....wish and dream.....but my energy has been focused on the rest of the loft and making use of new xmas decor and blending with decor we did not give to friends. Next year I will plan ahead and start in August from a trial run on said staircase. LOL......Blessings and Peace from Missouri!! Robb

Hello Rebecca. I don't have a staircase, but I do have mantles and doorways that I can use for some of your tips on creating a lovely garland display. I have an old garland for my mantle that I am going to revamp or replace this year. Thank you very much for showing us how to make Christmas time more magical and beautiful!

We finally got a staircase this year after four years of living in semi finished house 😅 although it still needs to be finished, I am so excited for decorating! I love it so much because stairs are made from oak tree that was growing at my husband's parents yard.

After watching your Christmas videos last year I placed my garland over my arches and it looked fabulous

My staircase is broken up because of the way that my stairs turn go in to the family room but I do use two separate gardens one in the entry right when you first go up the stairs and the one in the family room and they always match. Your gracious Gardens have always been an inspiration to me every year for Christmas decorations

I have a staircase & I love decorating it using the principles you've taught me. My biggest challenge though is that I have a large square wooden rail height pillar 1/2 way down & repeated at the bottom of the staircase. It makes it really challenging to have a crescendo piece as it competes with this massive design elements. I think I've done well with the challenge but it is tricky every year!
