I love your pegboard, Elisa! While I have one over my work bench in our garage, where I (sometimes) do woodworking projects, I don't have any in my craft room. One tip for when you have to hang something heavy & can't screw it into studs: Stud Solvers. They are heavy duty metal wall anchors. Whereas plastic wall anchors have to go into sheetrock with no studs behind it, Stud Solvers can screw either into just sheetrock or will even go into a stud, if you happen to hit one. I don't think I've ever had one go into a stud, so I'm not sure how well the screw would go into it, but that's what the package says anyway. I've used them for everything from shelf supports to hanging ink pad racks on the wall, and they work wonderfully! Of course, if the thickness of what you're mounting is greater than the length of the provided screws, I don't think they would work. Something to keep in mind. They do kind of "punch" a hole in the sheetrock (maybe 1/2" or so), so you need to keep that in mind as well. And, despite what they claim about being able just to screw directly into the wall, I always drill a small pilot hole first, which helps immensely. Anyway, something I thought I'd throw out there. Thank you for sharing this project. Take care, & have a wonderful day! :)

If you attached the scrap pieces of fence tops, one on each side of the bottom edge of the peg board you would have the perfect spot to hold a dowel with ribbons on it that would sit out from the peg board!

I just recently started watching crafting videos on YT and am so happy I ran across yours. I love your travel and Bible journaling videos very much. I’ve gotten a lot of ideas from you. I also enjoyed your craft room videos. I love your music on this one, which is what has been on most of them so far, and just hearing the music makes me happy! This particular video, however, made me laugh right along with you and your adorable hubby! The weather in the DMV is unpredictable this time of year. Glad you made it back inside just in time. Thanks for all your great ideas. Keep ‘me coming!!!

Peg boards are so handy. I'm creating a corner piece, which will be trimmed with framing. For being new to tools, I think you did pretty well. I would suggest making certain your circular saw is not cutting through the bench your project is laying on. I typically use clamps to clamp my item to a saw horse then double check to make sure my path is clear to the end of my cut. Also, when screwing your frame in place, if you lay it down you have gravity working with you. Your finished peg board coordinate well with the first one. Congrats.

It's funny that it's raining there while you filmed this, it's raining in Florida as I sit here watching it LOL 😂 I love the way you did the background and the Jane Davenport piece on the pegboard. I hope to be setting up my own happy place soon and I am taking notes (right now I am using my dining room). I have one large piece of peg board and lots of the hangers and baskets made for pegboard. I like the idea of the mason jars. I think I have a couple hiding in the garage (which by the way is WAY more crowded than yours). Thanks again for the inspiration. 😊🐞🧡

Thanks for your pegboard framing idea - great way to use scrap wood. Question: I understand you wanted to use what you have, but your real estate is limited in the room. Given the low price of pegboard, wouldn't it have made more sense to fill up the space as much as possible. It looks like you are amassing quite an art supply collection and every inch counts.
