I used actual plastic dividers that you buy for a 3 ring binder and I cut them down to size. They’re perfect and the plastic is thin enough to cut with the punch.

I purchased a set from Avery like that that I may still use. They are pretty lightweight which is good for punching, but I kinda like that stiffness of some of the heavier plastics. makes it easier to hold the tab and move the pages all at once.

I too do my projects by hand.

You can open the bottom of the puncher (what you open to clean it out) and see exactly where you need to punch.

Can you make these with the Silhouette? I bought the Portrait a couple of years ago. I got so frustrated trying to figure it out. Everything I tried was a mess. I put it in a closet and have been making my dividers by hand. I would love to use the Portrait but I think I need to find some instructions for beginners. 🤷‍♀️

I ordered some top tab dividers from an Etsy shop and I was not able to use them with metal discs on my classic HP because everything would get “stuck” whenever I turned the pages. I went ahead and made some dividers with the dollar tree chopping mats and I have the same problem. My planner is not thick at all. I went ahead and changed to plastic discs and only then did the pages turn without issues. Does anyone else experience this type of problem and if so, any suggestions on how to get the metal discs to work well with these clear dividers/dashboards?

You just need to take some scissors an open up the tails of the mushroom holes a little bit. That will solve your metal disc issue. 😁👍🏼

Do you have a video on how to make "bookmarks" from scratch? I dont know how big (what size) to make them :( If anyone has sizes for the micro, mini, classic, and big, that would be GREATLY appreciated :) I will definitely be making some of these dividers/dashboards for my planners. Thank you so much for sharing this video :) Cant wait to make some of these. This is going to make Frankplanning so much easier

I don’t have a bookmark specific video but can say that they should be the size of the page height plus the tab (~0.2-0.3”). Width can vary.
