The "Bitcoin 1% club" refers to the top 1% of Bitcoin holders worldwide.
It's hard to determine how much BTC you need to be in the 1% club, since Bitcoin isn't evenly distributed among addresses, and there are many lost Bitcoin.
Estimates for the threshold range from 0.28 BTC to as high as 15 BTC.

There isnt institutional buying by any public companies en mass. Think on this. There are countless useless companies looking for exits and countless dopey shareholders of those companies who would beg for btc to be added to provide a stock bump and exit... yet noone is? Why? Because the companies have no faith in btcs rise currently when dealing with public money. The private companies are just like retailers wanting the narrative to be true. Its just not happening folks.. as much as you want the narrative to stick. Willy Woo can show you data etc but none of it correlates to any broader picture he or anyone is clear on regarding mass large money buying. It shows people are holding due to their belief in the narrative but there simply isnt a 150 to 300k year or even 2 years ahead. Look at NASDAQ:EQOS, they brag re 1 client.. its dead out there. Dont believe the hype.

@@JackyTMusic I have to differ with your conclusions. There is institutional money going into BTC. It's going to over $300,000 this year. The downside risk is minimal to the upside potential. What, a 50% downside risk vs. a 10x pop. Your attitude is negative and you're obviously fearful of taking the risk. That emotion will haunt you this fall.
My mom now owns 1 BTC at $52k and DCA’d into it over the recent ATH’s and dips

Seems to be the best plan just dca rather than time the markets. I literally can't talk to anyone about crypto, they all either don't want to know or think it's a scam. . That tells me we're still super early 😀

Thanks for putting this together! Getting into the top 1% of bitcoin holders will be a lofty goal, but your advice gave me a head start and I'm well on my way.
Notes: 1. Thank you very much for this research and video... extremely interesting topic and well done. 2. I think GBTC is 1/1000 BTC per share... the price difference (discount of GBTC to spot) is due to a discount of a ~7 year holding time against their ~2% annual fee. 3. (95%/top 2%) I think you'd need to add a factor to account for exchange wallets that appear in this 2% which aggregate shrimp and crabs. 4. The other consideration is that, one can appear in 3 groups as three different hodlers by wallets, simply because places like BlockFi and Celcius etc offer high rates on only your first BTC - so a stash is distributed amongst wallets/cold storage due to market factors. Cheers, and thank you again for the content you make - sub'd when you were at 10k.

I had a friend bugging me to buy bit coin back when it was under $500. I had many legit reasons not to. I eventually caved to his logic (a couple of months ago). I have asked this before but I have not got an answer from IA just yet. If you wouldn't mind this is still a burning question for me! I would like to ask your take on the “bitcoin consolidation” in the hands of only a few entities or people? If there is really only 14million available and micro strategies has 1% of those, what is the risk to bitcoin losing some of its valued “network effect” by over-concentration of ownership? To keep being worth something someone has to sell to the next person? I have looked around quite a bit for an answer to this but have not found anything that directly addresses this idea. Thank you very much for considering it. Thank you for your very thoughtful content! It’s very good!
