Staples,i hate pulling staples! I re upholstered all the church pews at one of our local churches and that was a lot. Well done man! I only do motorcycles and some auto seats now

Thanks to your videos I’m definitely ripping apart my Sargent seat and rebuilding it. It needs drastic foam reshaping so that will require a new cover. I make vinyl and canvas purses, but what is the type of vinyl you typically use for a motorcycle seat, and is that headliner foam you use when making quilting? Mostly I’d love to know more about the vinyl you use. Thanks for your talent.

Melanie Porter, Hi it was around 1.5” of webbing wrapped in vinyl. the length is how long it needs to be they are all different, hope this helps thanks for watching John.

Thanks for all these videos. I'm inspired to give it a go. What do you think about covering a seat with masking/paper tape to mark off and cut out a template for the new seat without removing and cutting up the old one?

BIGBOI GARAGE Hi I use size 36 bonded nylon with a size 17 needle. Hope this helps thanks for watching John.

BIGBOI GARAGE Hi on this seat I used 6mm scrim foam, if you want the diamonds to pop out more I would suggest 12mm scrim foam. Thanks for watching John.

Christoffer Törnquist hi a used machine from eBay is your best bet spend as much as what you can afford would be my advice, a walking foot industrial machine is a must have in my opinion thanks for watching John

Anrods Hi it’s a seat strap, not really used by the passenger anymore as it’s easier to hold onto the driver. There kept on bikes for cosmetic reasons as most modern bikes don’t have them anymore. Thanks for watching John
