Once you get out of the machine make sure to find a port a potty and go clean yourself up, and if you leave a skid mark on the seat clean that up too.

That's a common thing where people think the bucket has to be up for vision, but like you said. A general rule to follow(came from forklifts) -only pick up as far as you need to for travel purposes; get to the dump point before working the bucket/boom. ALOT less headaches that way. Gain the experience 1st, the speed in mobility comes after.

I learned the same lesson with cranes. Lift only as high as you *need* to lift. If the straps slip or fail then there's much less chance of damage and injury than if it's up high. Slightly different situation with a skid steer, but the concept holds.

I almost did this, but stayed calm and slammed my bucket down as quick as I could to catch it from going more forward. Hell of a ride though

Haha, I did this a few weeks back while loading a small truck that was parked down hill from me. I just went on like it was nothing because it's kind of embarrassing tipping face first into the back of a truck, but it took a bit for my heart to calm back down lol

I've done that. If circumstances were 'unusual' and the operator was cautious and it still happened, you keep your job. I did. still got an ass chewing though lol.

Lower the bucket slowly, Definitely never tip the dirt out of bucket whilst it is raise or the reaction could snap your neck. Same as when an excavator tips over, leave the dirt in bucket and lower boom slowly

A local man was killed when his backhoe rolled over in a swimming pool, but all the news showed was a skid steer. No seatbelt?

The only time I consider a skidsteer tipped over is when it's on its side.
