Thank you so much! I tried some of the text from image apps, but the texts I get are bizarre! But Google Drive opening with Google docs is superb! Thank you so much!!!
Hi Kevin, what I like about your video is options and then after looking at the options I usually take the path with the fewest steps. I am always converting a picture of text to text and have for a long time. I also like removing the number of steps it takes to do get the job done. Thank you for this video!
Actually, I am wordless to express my gratitude to you, I have learned too many things from you. you are a brilliant brother. Hope you have further success.
Thank you, again. First time commenting, but I've used your videos multiple times when I need a "how to do...." You never disappoint, and have helped me out several times. Thank you very much!
Your videos never disappoint! Thanks Kev!
you are saving lives. you have no idea how many times i had to copy the text from images by hand! thank you so much
ShareX vs OneNote I tried both ShareX and OneNote. I used screen shots (jpgs) of scanned old book pages. The number of errors in ShareX was very significant. However the accuracy of OCR in One Note was commendable. The only mistakes were sometimes capital "We" instead of "we", or "VVho" instead of "Who" and "1" instead of "]" or "(" instead of "[" or ")" instead of "]". I didn't try any other programs. I wish One had the nice feature of ShareX called "one line" to get rid of carriage returns. Maybe there is a macro I can find to automatically remove them. Thanks, Kevin, for posting this great video. I always love your videos.
Thank you. You just saved me a few hours of work. Just finished converting a lot of pages to text using Google docs.
Totally life saving. Thanks for your wonderful video. Keep it up.
Can't believe I found this now, you saved my life. I found a job as a translator, the more you type the more money you earn. It was difficult for me, because I am not a fast typer but now you have changed my game. Thank you, man.

Thank you, this was genuinely helpful, and dug me out of a 2 hour rabbit hole using shady free OCR sites. Appreciate the great tutorial.
Hi Kevin, Thank you for sharing these important tricks. In addition to these, we can use Keepnote to grab the text from picture.
I've used quite a few of these apps, the one I find most useful is the power toys, its sites in the background and can be used straight away with good results.
Hi Kevin. Just wanted to thank you for sharing all the tricks which I would have never known about. 🙏 I dont use many of them but still it's good to know that what I would have thought not to be possible, really is.
Hi, in what format should to image be to copy text in Onenote? I tried an image several times with no luck. Thanks
Powertoys w/text-extractor - makes me easy days
Thank you Kevin very helpful and useful for doing school projects and also preparing reports for research and development ❤❤❤❤👍👍⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
I have found this video truly useful and thank you for making them. Be blessed.
I just wanted to say thank you. All your videos are helpful.
Your videos are always, always, useful!
Last method I am using now after seeing your video. It's so helpful for my study. Thank you so much 😊
Thanks a ton, Kevin. You saved a lot of time on my end.
Thanks for introducing Power Toys to me. I'm loving it!
Hi Kevin. Just wanted to thank you for sharing all the tricks which I would have never known about.
What a Sensational concise to the point video full of great free products, simply legendary, Thanks
Thank you for the tips, young man! I personally like the PowerToys method, as from the dawn of MS-DOS 6.22 I am used with a keyboard, and lately mIRC, iCQ, and all the fun with being a good chatter, I am using a lot of the keyboard to speed up my work and this method is very close to me (congrats for Ctrl+Win+T - kind of discovering hot water - I use it also a lot). The round about with photo-2-PDF-importing to WORD is a working solution too. So one way or another, as my friend John says.. Keep walking...
Thanks a lot for this very useful video, Mr. Kevin Stratvert! Really a very novel tool to extract the text embedded over the images. Especially, while seeing a video with sub titles that are something rare, like Manthras, Slogan, Quotes, Proverb etc, this tool comes in very handy. I use some OCR software but they are a bit tedious to maintain. Congratulations! வணக்கம், மிக்க நன்றி!! That is "Bye, thank you very much!" in Thamizh - (Tamil). Dhurgaa Pooja and Vijaya Dhasami Greetings! துர்கா பூஜை மற்றும் விஜய தசமி நல்வாழ்த்துக்கள்!
Thanks for sharing simplistic knowledge.
So many ways to do it, I just knew about the pdf to Word. Thanks for sharing this info.
Great OCR content thank you! I use it so infrequently I forget how to extract text quickly LOL
Dear Kevin, thank you so much. But what I normally do is , open the Google lens and open any photos file, and convert into text, copy and paste it wherever you want.

Thanks. This is a very complete video. I'm using the powertoys, it works great.
Thank you! I discovered this Microsoft PowerToys - the best! :)
Text extractor in Power Toys I think added recently. Earlier I used OneNote but now I am using ShareX but I think Power Toys is game changer in this regard. Single shortcut and text extracted!!!
This is extremely useful! Thanks!
Thank you so much Kevin, you're really helping out.
Always on the Top. Greetings from Paris

So... hands down, you have the best looking video compression quality on KZread. I mean, it almost looks like it's straight from the card. What is your secret, sir??
🙏Thanks for teaching "How to extract text from an image". 👍
Fantastic for sharing this Kevin 👍👍
Loving the tips and tricks. Awesome sauce.
Thank you so much Kelvin what a relief.
Used the One Note method. Thanks man!
Exactly what I need! Thank you!
You are the best kevin .. The microsoft toys gave a solution to me i was looking for thanks
Very helpful. Thanks so much.
like the pdf to word best, just because those are most often already installed. Google docs and one note would also be top picks. Good concise tutorials, gg.
Omfg thank you! The google docs method saved me. Another tip I found handy was to use MS paint/photoshop/any editing software to remove or block out text you DON'T want copied. In my case it was photos of typed text on top of other papers that had a few words off to the side so I went into MS Paint and cropped out and painted over those loose words.
Great video thanks! Super helpful.
thanks men , you helped me a lot !!
Finally, kevin here! Love your taughful content my man! Impressive 😄
Microsoft PowerToys is so useful. Thank you!
Thank you so much the Microsoft power toys is a game changer.

You are legend! The Google Disc + Google Docs works like a charm for arabic language. Other tools don't
Thank you! You saved my time
Helpful video. Thank u. I also use Google lens with words written on papers, cans, boards, etc.
Also, this was VERY helpful. Thank you very much.
Thanks so much for this useful text. Worked in my case. Have subscribed your channel for more.
For a Turkish+Arabic (mixed) PDF document, Google Drive has yielded the best results amongst all other solutions for me (the rest all seem to use Microsoft's OCR technology so they all returned pretty much the same result anyways). There were significantly less conversion errors in Google Drive and it required no setup which is a nice plus.

Thx, talking about fault tolerance!
This is great! But i just wished there was a platform that did much more, like Google translate does let you help providing better translations, it would be cool to have a this type of technology be used for video games with weird ass fonts, that then would be analized through a image to text app, corrected by you if needed, and theeeeen translated, and even be capable of correcting the translation if needed. Imagine a world like that 🙏
your videos are amazing, keep it up. regards from Libya!
thanks for the big help!... Power tool is really only ok... the google one works like a charm.
