I have the same problem.I watched another video, it says the external storage has to be reformatted to Mac format, otherwise, it won't work.

i was using remote desktop to view on my mac a windows pc. I wanted to copy a folder to bring it to the Mac. I Command+Drag the mouse cursor over the folder, to bring it to the Mac Documents. All right, but eventually the original files were deleted. Why? Thank you!
How to basically cut and paste to external hard drive to free some space?
most played part is played by me several times. so confusing.
Haven't mention that you can't copy and paste from mac to drive, if your driver file system is NTFS.

You just hold command and press N but not actually pressing +
To me it is still not working, I don't get it...
Not working. Command +N is not creating a new folder on the external hard drive, also command+C and command+V do not work to copy paste the folders from the Mac to the external hard drive. What version of OS you are using because in the Sonoma is not working. I miss my PC that is so smooth and configurable with no road block like on a Mac.

My external drive is 8TB AND MAC has only 1 TB now tell me how do I back it up ???? Why making videos with the same single solution when each and every single video just says the same thing.

Not useful. MacBook does not allow simple dragging and dumping.
