How to cope with first A&E job in the NHS
How to cope with the First A&E job in the NHS.
Many IMG junior doctors start their first job in the A&E department and may find the department work differently from what they have experienced in their home countries.
Dr Usama Basit is a Specialist Trainee (ST) in the A&E department currently working on a Paediatric fellowship of emergency medicine in Manchester.
In this video, he explained the basic structure of the A&E department, the role of doctors and other staff, what to expect and some tips on how to manage a junior role in the A&E.
