Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

This recipe is perfect for when you want to eat rice but don’t have time or bother to make it. You can’t fail if you keep accurate weighing, soaking in water and cooking time.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Ingredients
100g / or 3.5oz short grain white rice
150g / or 5.3oz water(increase maximum to 200g or 7oz of water depending on the condition of the rice)
Instructions
1. Add the raw rice in a bowl, pour in some water and wash it. Carefully pour out the water, keeping the rice in the bowl. Rinse the rice three times.
2. Place rice in the big mug cup or bowl and add water. Set aside in room temperature for 20 to 30 minutes. Put the lid or small plate on the cup and cook in a microwave for 3 minutes.
- Do not completely seal the cup or bowl. When sealing with plastic wrap, leave a gap.
3. Pour the overflowing water from the plate back into the cup. and cook it for additional 3 minutes.
4. Do not open the lid immediately. Rest it for 1 to 2 minutes then scoop the rice in the bowl.

Long grain rice won't end up sticky but I assume it'll work as well. Just control time a bit because it's different grain!

Thank you for showing this. I've always used a small pot to cook my rice on my stove but the gas sometimes heats up the house. I wasn't too sure how to cook it in the microwave. I only tried it once in the microwave but I cooked it too long and burned it. Thank you for sharing.

Control the cooking time by monitoring the condition of the rice. Because the result may vary slightly depending on the microwave. :)

I use Progressive International Microwave Rice Cooker. I payed $6 for it before COVID. It's ridiculously expensive now. For 1 cup, I set the timer to 11 minutes and lower the power to 70%. My microwave is 1200W or 1500W.

700 watt for 6 minutes means 72 watts used to cook the rice? is this correct? What about chicken or potatoes? Can i cook myself a meal with under 500 watts?

I've tried only using microwave oven that I have. Microwave ovens are so sensitive and cooking time may differ depending on watts and you'll have to test it.

keep in mind 700w mode doesn't necessarily mean 700w is drawn, only if you have a lot of food especially in water content, unless you've saturated the full load, 500w should be the same as 700w

This didn’t work for me. I followed exactly except my microwave doesn’t do 700w, only 800 pr 650, so I did 800. After the 3 minutes the rice was rock- hard. I added a second 100 mls water and cooked another 3 minutes, then a third 100 mls and a third 3 minutes, followed by a minute’s rest. It was still barely cooked. Any advice please?

I will tell your viewers the amount of water. Its ok. No problem. So, just add the same amount of water as the portion and the another half amount of it as water. So 1&1/2. That should be about rite. Imo.

are you deaf or illiterate? because she says after adding the rice ADD THE SAME AMOUNT OF WATER I would say turn on captions but I can tell reading would be hard for you so whats the point but if you go to 45 seconds in to make it really easy for you since I can tell these things are hard for you she also puts it in the description i know you're trying to act like you're doing something but you're not. you're making yourself look incompetent and bad. She did this video very well and iof you look at the comments you're the only one having an issue lol.

  • @JiaChoiChef

You can follow the ratio of 2 parts water to 1 part rice, but if you soak the rice thoroughly, you can reduce the amount of water. I used freshly milled rice, which tends to have more moisture than older rice varieties. The amount of water needed can vary depending on the rice's condition, so feel free to adjust slightly as needed. :)
